Joel Dorcas |December 5th, 2019

Tuesday we hit on two of three must-haves with the third, Jared Spurgeon, missing out due to an in-game injury which turned out to be a broken right hand. Tonight we have a nice nine-game pool to choose from. Chicago at Boston, Minny at Tampa, and San Jose at Carolina round out the preferred games to target. Let’s get in on the action and make some Ice Picks!

CORE MUST-HAVES ⭐

David Pastrnak BOS W $8,400

The leading trigger man on the Bruins continues his insane goal-scoring pace with five goals in his last five games. Boston is proving that they have enough depth without the services of superstar Patrice Bergeron. They have registered eight straight victories scoring 31 times while just allowing 12. Pasta is a game-breaking talent capable of playing with anyone at any time. Boston has an elite powerplay that is clicking in at 30.9%, their opponent, the Chicago Blackhawks, are killing penalties at just a 79.8% rate.

Nikita Kucherov TB W $7,400

The Tampa Lightning snapped a three-game losing streak with a spirited O.T. victory in Nashville Tuesday night. They have now notched 39 goals in their last 10 games. When at home this season, they are averaging an impressive 4.09 goals per contest. They will host the much-improved Minnesota Wild who have won four straight and seven of their last 10. They are allowing 3.39 goals per game on the road this season. Number one goalie Devan Dubnyk will continue to miss time due to a personal matter. As for Kucherov, he is as red-hot as they come right now. 10 points and 24 shots over his last five and he is well under 8K. Fire him up!

Dougie Hamilton CAR D $7,000

The Hurricanes have been fairly average winning six of their last ten. Perhaps this home game against a week defensive team in the San Jose Sharks will do them some good. The Canes are averaging 3.62 goals per game at home this season, San Jose is giving up 3.46 goals per contest on the road and rank 25th overall with a mark of 3.31. A lot of pieces to like on Carolina, but Hamilton seems to be the most consistent. He continues to log heavy minutes and finds himself on the scoresheet filling out blocks, shots, assists and goal columns on most nights.

VALUE PLAYS

Danton Heinen BOS W $3,500

Because of the injury to Bergeron, the B’s have had to make adjustments to their lineup. This is good news for some depth players on the squad. Danton Heinen all of the sudden finds himself on the top powerplay line and the second scoring line. His scoring opportunities are likely to increase as he gets to share ice with the likes of David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand. The Chicago Blackhawks rank 18th in goals against per game with a mark of 3.04. It appears that they will be without the services of some pretty big contributors. Duncan Keith, Robin Lehner, Andrew Shaw, and Dylan Strome are all listed as either out or doubtful.

Jake Debrusk BOS W $4,300

The second-highest shot producer for the Bruins of the last five games has been Jake Debrusk. He has 12 shots and four points over the span of games. Debrusk has proven himself recently and as a result, has been given first-line duties alongside David Krejci and David Pastrnak. This could be a turning point for the third-year pro as up until just recently, he has mostly failed to live up to expectations.

Mikhail Sergachev TB D $3,900

Sergachev isn’t being played in the most ideal situations as he is relegated to the second-line powerplay, He is also penciled in on the third D pairing. Even still the production is there, two goals, two assists, 10 shots, and eight blocks while averaging a little over 18 minutes per game over his last five games.

STACK ‘EM
