NFL Week 11 Preview

Entering Week 11 of the NFL season, there are some fascinating matchups as usual. Some teams in the playoff hunt need to get back in the win column this week after disappointing games a week ago. As the most important time of the season approaches, the teams will start to distinguish themselves. Below is a look into the key aspects of each game on the schedule for this week.

New England Patriots at Atlanta Falcons

The Patriots are red hot going into this game as winners of four straight. It will be interesting to see how they start this game traveling on a short week. Mac Jones, Rhamondre Stevenson, Kendrick Bourne, and Hunter Henry should continue their strong contributions against the Falcons defense. For the Falcons, it will be interesting to see how their offense matches up against the Patriots’ defense. It could be a back-and-forth battle. The Patriots will win this one by a possession.

New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles

The Saints need to get back to their winning ways this week. Doing so on the road in this one will be tough but it can be done. They will need their defense to step up and help their offense in a drastic way. Slowing down Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith will be key. If they can contain them and force them to run it, they have a good chance. Offensively, relying on the run game and limiting turnovers will be integral. The Eagles’ defense should make some plays in this one. This will be a close game that the Saints win.

Miami Dolphins at New York Jets

The Dolphins are coming off two straight wins and enter this one on a mini-bye. For the Jets, they lost another tough one a week ago and will be starting Joe Flacco. What will be most important for the Jets to keep this game close is improved play from their defense. The Dolphins did not have a prolific offense so they must have a better outing. Still, the Dolphins will win this one on the road by a touchdown.

Washington Football Team at Carolina Panthers

Each team in this one had a convincing win last week. For the Panthers, Cam Newton will be getting the start. Big performances from Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore will be important for the Panthers. For Washington, Taylor Heinicke is coming off a solid outing. How things play out in the trenches could dictate the outcome of this one. Ultimately, the Panthers will win a very close one on the road.

Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills

These two AFC teams are right in the thick of things. The Bills got a bounce-back victory a week ago. The Colts have played much better as of late. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs will need to build on their stellar game from a week ago. The Colts’ fast defensive front could give Allen some problems in this one. For the Colts, controlling this game with Jonathan Taylor will once again be key. At home, the Bills will win by one score.

Detroit Lions at Cleveland Browns

Plain and simple, the Browns need a win at home here. The Lions have still yet to win a game this year and the Browns must have that continue. Hopefully, Nick Chubb is back and can take control of this game. The Browns defense has to play better. Slowing down D’Andre Swift in this one is a must for them. At home, the Browns will win this one by a touchdown.

San Francisco 49ers at Jacksonville Jaguars

This is an interesting spot for the 49ers traveling from the west to east coast with an early start time after playing Monday night. Ultimately, they are the better football team and just have to play like it. Deebo Samuel should keep up his outstanding play. Hopefully, the 49ers’ defense can play as they did on Monday against Trevor Lawrence. The 49ers will win this game by a touchdown.

Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans

This should be a fairly easy one for arguably the best team in football. The Titans have won six straight and played some great opponents along the way. Their dominant defensive front led by Jeffery Simmons, Denico Autry, Harold Landry, and Bud Dupree should make a sizable impact in this one. The Texans lack too much talent to even keep this one close. The Titans will win by at least two touchdowns.

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings

This NFC North matchup is a fairly intriguing one. The Vikings are coming off a respectable road win. How their offense executes against the Packers’ defense should be interesting to see. De’Vondre Campbell, Eric Stokes, and Adrian Amos are just a few of the Packers’ core defensive playmakers. Expect a big game from AJ Dillon as he is expected to step up. The Packers will win this one on the road by one score.

Baltimore Ravens at Chicago Bears

The Ravens have lost two and of their last three and have to win here. How the Ravens’ offense plays against the Bears’ defense will be crucial in this game. Lamar Jackson needs to bounce back. Defensively, the Ravens should play well in this game. Not allowing David Montgomery to get going will be important for them. On the road, the Ravens will win this game by a touchdown.

Cincinnati Bengals at Las Vegas Raiders

Both of these AFC teams have slowed down after fast starts and find themselves right in the midst of it all. The Bengals are coming off a needed bye week. Joe Burrow should have no problem getting Ja’Marr Chase going in this one. The Raiders’ secondary is overmatched here. Derek Carr should make his plays in this one against the Bengals’ defense. In the end, though, the Bengals will win this one by a possession.

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks

The Cardinals have got to get winning again. They have dropped two of their last three. On the road against a division opponent here, winning this one would be key. Offensively, as long as Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins are healthy they should move the ball and score points against the Seahawks defense. It will be worth following how the Seahawks’ offense competes against the Cardinals’ defense. For the Cardinals, it will be most important to limit big plays. The Cardinals will win this one by a touchdown.

Dallas Cowboys at Kansas City Chiefs

This game is one of the best of Week 11. The Cowboys got a bounce-back win a week ago and have been as good as any team all year. The Chiefs have won three in a row and looked like themselves Sunday night. Expect the Cowboys’ offense to score points led by Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb in this game. The interesting battle will be the Chiefs’ explosive, big-play offense against the Cowboys’ fast defense. Ultimately, the Cowboys are the better team and will win this one on the road by one score.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers

This Sunday night, two teams in the middle of the AFC playoff hunt will battle it out. The Steelers will need a healthy Ben Roethlisberger back. For the Chargers, getting better consistency from their talented offense will be important down the stretch. The Steelers’ talented defensive front could be tough for them to stop. Justin Herbert making big plays with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams against the Steelers secondary could make a difference in this one. The Chargers will win by a field goal.

New York Giants at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Week 11 rounds out with this NFC matchup. The Giants had their bye a week ago. The Buccaneers are coming off a disappointing road loss and lost their last two. For the Buccaneers, Tom Brady and his talented collection of skill position players will need to have big games. Their offensive line will have to set the tone for them. Offensively, the Giants should break off some big plays against the Buccaneers secondary. What will be key is how their offensive line executes against the Buccaneers’ loaded front. At home, the Buccaneers will win this one by a touchdown.
