NFL Week 10 Preview

NFL Week 10

There are some intriguing matchups ahead on the slate for this upcoming week. Two of the prime-time matchups are between division opponents in the playoff hunt. Sunday afternoon, there are a few key matchups for teams right in the mix and looking to stay there. Below is a look into the noteworthy points of each game on the schedule for Week 10 of the 2021 season.

Baltimore Ravens at Miami Dolphins

Despite a tough travel on a short week, anticipate the Ravens taking care of business in this one with relative ease. Lamar Jackson will have another big game. How the Dolphins’ secondary matches up against Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews should be interesting. The Dolphins group of defensive backs should rise up even going up against a talented wide receiver and tight end. It will be important for the Ravens defense to put a good game together. If they can slow down Jaylen Waddle, they will be fine. The Ravens will win by at least 10.

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets

This is a great opportunity for the Bills to get a crucial bounce-back win. The Bills offense should have a much better outing against the Jets’ defense. They should look to run the football a little bit more and not put everything on Josh Allen. For the Jets, expect Mike White to keep up his good play even going against a talented Bills defense. On the road, the Bills will win this division matchup by at least a touchdown.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Football Team

Both of these teams had their bye a week ago after tough road losses. For the Buccaneers to bounce back, their offense will have to keep up their strong play against a Washington defense that has struggled. Expect Tom Brady and his talented skill-position players to move the football with ease. How Washington’s offense executes against the Buccaneers’ defense should be interesting. They can put points up but the Buccaneers defense is a skilled group. Nonetheless, the Buccaneers will win this one by at least a touchdown.

Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys

Lately, the Falcons have been playing very respectable ball. The Cowboys are coming off a letdown loss at home and will need this one. Their offense led by Dak Prescott should put up a lot of points against the Falcons defense. It will be important for the Cowboys’ defense to play up to their ability and slow down a Falcons offense that has been fairly prolific. Matt Ryan, Cordarrelle Patterson, and Kyle Pitts have all been great. The Cowboys will end up winning this game by one score.

New Orleans Saints at Tennessee Titans

This matchup is one of the better ones this week. The Titans are coming off an exciting road win against one of the best teams in the league while the Saints have played well but lost a tough one last week. The Titans’ offense against the Saints’ defense can be a competitive back and forth battle. The Saints’ defensive line can win against the Titans’ offensive line. The Saints’ offense will likely struggle to put up a ton of points in this one. Alvin Kamara will have to make some big plays. Playing ball-control with him and Mark Ingram will be important. The battle in the trenches between the Saints’ offensive line and the Titans’ defensive front should be great. The Titans will win by a score.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts

Each of these teams had victories a week ago. The Jaguars won against a very quality opponent. The Colts are coming off a mini-bye and are in a favorable position here. As usual, Jonathan Taylor will be the key to the Colts’ success. In the passing game, anticipate Michael Pittman making an impact. This will be a good opportunity for Trevor Lawrence to go up against a defensive front that plays fast. The Colts will win this division matchup by at least 10.

Detroit Lions at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have won four in a row and should build on that here. The Lions are winless and lacking in talent. Expect Najee Harris to control this game for the Steelers. Opportunities for big plays should be there for Diontae Johnson, Chase Claypool, and Pat Freiermuth. The Lions’ offensive line can compete against a talented Steelers defensive front. T.J. Watt will make his plays. When he is lined up against Penei Sewell it should be a fun battle. The Steelers will win this one by at least 10.

Cleveland Browns at New England Patriots

One of the more intriguing games of Week 10. These two teams enter off-road wins at 5-4, right in the midst of playoff contention. Without Nick Chubb, big performances from Baker Mayfield and D’Ernest Johnson will be needed. The Browns offensive line can control this game. Defensively, the Browns can put together a good game. It will be key to keep Damien Harris contained. On the road, the Browns will win this one by about a field goal.

Minnesota Vikings at Los Angeles Chargers

After a promising start, the Vikings have had two straight disappointing losses. The Chargers picked up an important bounce-back win a week ago. Expect another great outing from star quarterback, Justin Herbert. Along with him, Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, and Mike Williams should all be impactful in this one. The Vikings’ offense should attain some success in this game. The Chargers will win this one at home by a touchdown.

Carolina Panthers at Arizona Cardinals

In this NFC matchup, each team heads in with some injuries. The Panthers will be without Sam Darnold. For the Cardinals, hopefully, Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins are good to go. Phillip Walker will start for the Panthers. Relying on Christian McCaffrey will be important in this one. The Cardinals front can dominate the Panthers’ offensive line. Offensively for the Cardinals, they should continue their great success. James Conner had a terrific game last week. The Cardinals will win by a touchdown.

Philadelphia Eagles at Denver Broncos

The Broncos had a thrilling road victory a week ago. They are in a great spot to build on that here. For the Eagles, their defensive front will have to make an impact to have a chance. If not, it could be tough. Expect a lot of Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon again for the Broncos. Defensively, the Broncos should keep up their success against this Eagles offense. It will be fun to see former college teammates, DeVonta Smith and Patrick Surtain II, compete against one another. The Broncos will win this one by a touchdown.

Seattle Seahawks at Green Bay Packers

It looks like the star quarterbacks for each of these teams will be back in this one. Russell Wilson is coming back from injury and his team needs him. Aaron Rodgers is expected to be back. If they are both healthy enough, a lot of points can be scored in this game. There is a ton of offensive talent in this one. The Seahawks defense has struggled in a big way. Aaron Jones and Davante Adams should have their expected outings. The Packers will win by a touchdown.

Kansas City Chiefs at Las Vegas Raiders

This AFC West game is a fascinating one. The Chiefs have not been themselves but are in the playoff mix. For the Raiders, a disappointing loss last week hurt. It will be worth noting how they respond in this one. Derek Carr should have a big game against the Chiefs’ defense. This is a good opportunity for Patrick Mahomes to get back to his dominant level against a Raiders defense that has not been great. This will be a very close one that the Chiefs win.

Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers

The week finishes with this NFC West matchup. Each team had a tough home loss last week. Matthew Stafford should get back to his usual self against the 49ers’ defense. For the 49ers, their talented skill position players will have to make things happen. Their offensive line will likely struggle against the Rams front led by Aaron Donald. The Rams will get back in the win column here taking this one by one score.
