NFL Thursday Night DFS: Week 10

jonathan taylor

After a couple of bad matchups, we finally get a good Thursday night game with huge playoff implications. The first place Tennessee Titans look to stay on top of the division against the second-place Indianapolis Colts. This will be the first matchup between these two division rivals this season. The winner will put themselves in first place of the division while also gaining a win in the head to head tiebreaker. Now let’s check out the top players for this Thursday night divisional showdown.

DraftKings Captain | FanDuel MVP

Jonathan Taylor (DK Captain $13,200 | FD $12,000)

Taylor was off to a good start last week. Then he fumbled and the Colts got behind on the scoreboard. That flipped the game script and forced them to start throwing more. That opened up more playing time for Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins. This week Taylor is in a good spot against the Titans run defense. They have allowed a total of 11 touchdowns to running backs this season. That makes Taylor a prime candidate for a breakout game. Since Marlon Mack was injured in Week 1, Taylor has had just one game of 100 or more yards. Look for the Colts to establish the run with Taylor early in this matchup.

Utility Players

Zach Pascal (DK $6,400 | FD $9,500)

Pascal has been solid this season but will likely need a touchdown to score double digits in this game. He should however be less owned than the other Colts receivers. T.Y. Hilton is back and healthy which should scare some DFS players away from Pascal. However, he is not much of a deep threat so he will still see his typical targets. The Titans also do a good job of slowing down top receivers. Look for Hilton and Michael Pittman Jr. to struggle and Pascal to be the Colts receiver to roster.

Stephen Gostkowski (DK $3,800 | FD $9,000)

The Colts have a very good defense and should be able to stall out some Titans drives. Gostkowski has struggled this season but the Titans are sticking with him. He kicks at an 86.3 percent career success rate so he is obviously a very capable kicker. This is by far his worst season in terms of accuracy. He will figure it out and he will be pivotal for the Titans down the stretch. Look for Gostkowski to get his accuracy back in this huge divisional matchup.

Corey Davis (DK $7,800 | FD $11,000)

Davis had at least three receptions in every game this season leading up to last week’s zero reception game against the Chicago Bears. The game script did not favor the passing attack and the Bears have one of the best passing defenses in the NFL. That was the perfect storm for Davis to have a bad day. He’s due for a bounce-back game this week. The Colt’s defense will focus heavily on A.J. Brown and Derrick Henry. That should open up plenty of opportunities for Davis.
