It’s time for the last Monday night game of the season. We cap off the Monday night schedule with an AFC East matchup. The Buffalo Bills will head into Foxborough for a matchup with the New England Patriots.
The Bills have already clinched a playoff spot but they still need to win this game if they want to move up to the two seed. The two seed will keep them from playing the Kansas City Chiefs until the AFC championship game. Let’s jump right into the top players for this Monday night showdown.
FanDuel MVP
Josh Allen (DK $12,600 | FD $16,500)
Despite the Patriots having their worst season in years, the defense has still been good against the pass. However, with the way Allen has been playing, he will still get his numbers. In his last three games, he has been able to score ten touchdowns even against good defenses. The Patriots will also be without their number one cornerback Stephon Gilmore. Look for Allen to continue his excellent play.
DraftKings Captain
Stefon Diggs (DK Captain $16,500 | FD $15,500)
As I said earlier, the Patriots will be without Gilmore. The defense will have a tough time stopping Diggs. He has at least 10 receptions in his last three games. He has also gone over 90 receiving yards in six out of his last seven games. Allen and Diggs have had a great connection all season long. They have been among the best combos in the league. Look for that to continue this week on Monday night football.
Utility Players
Sony Michel (DK $7,000 | FD $10,000)
Michel was able to get some solid carries last week and turned those into 74 rushing yards. The Patriots will split the carries with all their running backs so his ceiling is low. Damien Harris is questionable and even if he does suit up, he should see limited snaps. Michel could get some goal-line carries and steal a touchdown. He will have a good matchup against the Bills defense who have allowed 12 rushing touchdowns this season. If he’s able to get a touchdown he will provide value on an ugly slate.
Jakobi Meyers (DK $7,200 | FD $11,000
Meyers was able to produce some solid fantasy points last week against the Miami Dolphins. He was able to turn 10 targets into seven receptions for 111 yards. The Patriots will more than likely be down in this game. That will force Cam Newton to throw the football more than they would like to. Look for Meyers to get his first touchdown of the season even if it is in garbage time.
