Two games left with a trip to the Superbowl for the victors. It has been an interesting playoff season so far and today’s games figure to have some excitement for sure. I looked at the AFC injury news earlier today and in this article, I will take a look at the injury information for the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers.

Both teams enter championship weekend relatively healthy with most everyone expected to participate as both teams try to achieve the ultimate prize a ticket to the Super Bowl.

San Francisco 49ers

Tevin Coleman, Dee Ford, George Kittle, and Raheem Mostert were all full participants in practice Friday and will be ready to go come game time.

Kwon Alexander  Linebacker

Alexander was a limited participant with his pectoral injury and wore a non-contact jersey in practice. He is expected to be on the field as he continues to increase his workload.

Considering we are 18-19 games into the season they are in good shape injury-wise.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers had several players on the injury report but most were full participants by Friday. As of the final pregame injury report they had only two players listed as questionable.

Danny Vitale  Fullback

Vitale was listed as a limited participant all week with a knee strain but he is expected to play come game time.  This is similar to his status last week.

JK Scott  Punter

Scott was the only player to miss the entire week of practice leading up to the championship game. Since I suspect he was dealing with the Flu, keeping him out the whole week isn’t surprising but I suspect he will be fulfilling his punting duties come game time.

The staff of TheScorecrow.com made their predictions for championship Sunday and you can read those here. Good luck to both the Packers and the 49ers.
