NFL DFS – Dart Throws for Week 3 GPPs

Joey Ricotta | September 22nd, 2019

One of my favorite activities to take part in at bars, other than drinking, of course, is playing darts. Throwing darts takes precision aim, but if you hit the bullseye or triple-20 you’re sitting very pretty. It’s the same concept when it comes to taking down a large field tournament otherwise known as GPPs. Sometimes you have to get a little weird and go off the radar. You don’t have to get a ton of these guys in your lineup, but one or two could be incredibly beneficial. It could also fail miserably. But if you’re playing in a tournament like the Milly Maker on DraftKings, you’re going to need to get creative and use at least one low-owned player. Without further ado, let’s get to some Dart Throws that might help us take home a ton of money.

RB – Tony Pollard ($3,800)

Being that the Dallas Cowboys are gigantic Vegas favorites over the Miami Dolphins, there’s a scenario where the game gets out of hand early. If that’s the case, the Cowboys will have no need to risk injuries. Ezekiel Elliott will be one of the notable names pulled from the game, setting up garbage time points for Pollard.

RB – Royce Freeman ($4,400)

Freeman’s teammate Phillip Lindsay is also down in this price range at $100 cheaper. Most of the ownership is going to Lindsay as a decent value play. A nice pivot might be paying up just a little bit to use Freeman, in a game that could feature some downpour rain. Freeman has looked better than Lindsay so far this season, averaging 5.2 yards per carry compared to Lindsay’s 3.3 YPC. Freeman was even used in the passing game last week with five catches on seven targets for 48 yards. The Green Bay Packers defense is much approved, but they allowed 198 yards on the ground last week against the Minnesota Vikings.

WR – James Washington ($3,500)/Diontae Johnson ($3,000)

After Donte Moncrief‘s lack of production in Weeks 1 and 2, he’s been put in the doghouse and he might not get out anytime soon. Diontae Johnson has been named the starter to replace him. JuJu Smith-Schuster will be likely working the slot quite a bit and the Steelers will try to take advantage of his match-up against K’Waun Williams. However, if JuJu starts getting the majority of the attention, Johnson could pop free and he’s dirt cheap. I was high on James Washington all throughout the preseason and even drafted him in quite of few season-long leagues. With Mason Rudolph taking over the reins at quarterback, the old Oklahoma State QB/WR connection is back. Over their time together in college, they connected for 206 catches, 4,188 yards, and 35 TDs.
