The NFL Season saw some crazy action last weekend with a few upsets and some great football action. It was also a great weekend for some NFL bettors, while others struggled to make it to the cash counter. We are not here to tell you how to bet, but we will share all the relevant information you need for today’s two conference championship games.
We will cover the average lines and odds. This average is made by combing the most popular sportsbooks and putting those numbers together to give you the national average. We will also share game viewing information, start times, and a brief analysis of the game’s significant storylines.
San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia Eagles
How to watch: 3:00 p.m. ET FOX
Spread: Eagles -2.5 (-120)
The guy people said wouldn’t make it as an NFL quarterback and Mr. Irrelevant. The storylines are literally writing themselves in this game, making for some attractive betting options as well. It is time to stop doubting Brock Purdy. He has played too well for people to keep saying he is a product of the system. The system helps, but he has played great. The line being -2.5 in favor of the Eagles is simply disrespectful. San Francisco has played better football than any team in the NFL down the stretch of the season.
Moneyline: 49ers (+130) at Eagles (-150)
The 49ers are a great value at +130, and the Eagles at -150 are a tough moneyline bet. On the one hand, you want to give yourself the cushion and bet the moneyline. Yet less than a field goal spread is attractive for a better value. The 49ers are 1-1 against the spread in games where their opponent is favored by a field goal or less. At the same time, Philadelphia is 1-0 against the spread as a field goal or less favorite.
Total Points: Over 45.5 points (-110) / Under 45.5 points (-110)
This one could go either way, as both teams have great defenses, and it could be a grind-it-out game. While at the same time, both offenses have more than enough firepower to win in a shootout. The total points are a stay-away in this one for us.
Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs
How to watch: 6:30 p.m. ET CBS
Spread: Chiefs -1.5 (-110)
The spread in this matchup has got back and forth all week, with the early parts of the week seeing the Bengals favored by a point to a point and a half. Toward the end of this week, the line has returned in favor of the Chiefs. First of that indicates, this is going to be a very close game. Second, it also points to the Chiefs’ star quarterback Patrick Mahomes being healthier than many expected. Needless to say, this is going to be a very close game.
Moneyline: Bengals (+105) at Chiefs (-125)
The Bengals are now the value on the moneyline, but with the spread so close, the Chiefs are a solid bet as the spread and moneyline are only -15 apart for Kansas City. With that said, if you are betting in favor of the Chiefs, moneyline is the way to as a walk-off field goal one-point win will ruin your day as a bettor. As far as the Bengals go, moneyline value is there, and the 1.5 spread is not much coverage.
Total Points: Over 48 points (-110) / Under 48 points (-110)
We were wrong last week when it came to the over unders, as some games just played out oddly. Yet this week, we know that the Chiefs’ and Bengals’ strongest units are their offenses. With two premier quarterbacks facing off, there is no way barring a weather phenomenon, that this is not a high-scoring game.
