Best Bet No. 1: Ravens vs. Bengals UNDER 44.0 (-110)
I locked this bet in early and, since then, the total has significantly decreased to 40.5. Just like that, I pocketed three-and-a-half points. Never underestimate the value of locking in a bet early before prospective markets and sportsbooks can make adjustments prior to kickoff.
AFC North matchups are typically never pretty. Games are often hotly-contested, competitive, physical, and played on the ground. In addition, most matchups in this division are characterized and are ultimately won and lost “in the trenches.” A good, old-fashioned, head-to-head matchup between John Harbaugh’s Ravens and Zac Taylor’s Bengals in mid-January should be no different. Although I can’t see the Ravens escaping with a win, I think we’re in store for a close, low-scoring game that may play right into the hands of Baltimore. The Ravens are one of these teams that never backs down from a fight and are seemingly always kicking around. This game truly has all the making of a 17-13 final, doesn’t it? Lock in the under as soon as you can.
Best Bet No. 2: Giants Moneyline (+125)
The New York Football Giants: the consensus pick for an upset. Like so many others “in the know” across the football landscape, I’m definitely in the majority here and think the G-Men can pull out a dub in Minnesota.
First-year head coach Brian Daboll was brought in to right the ship in New York. He did so (and then some) and has the Giants in the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Although the Giants have had their fair share of ups and downs in 2022, the writing is on the wall for an upset. Daniel Jones has been the prototypical game manager spearheading New York’s offensive schemes. He has protected the football, checked it down as needed, and kept the Giants’ offense on the field. Oh, and he also has one of the premiere running backs on his side in the form of Saquon Barkley. I personally love this bet and the underlying value you’re getting here. Take New York on the road at +125, football fans.
