It’s a new week and we have a nine-game slate tonight starting at 7:00 pm ET. As usual, we dive into the values that will allow you to spend money elsewhere. Without further ado, let’s get right into it welcoming the new moon on Monday.
***All Prices Are DraftKings***
On the Bump
Anthony DeSclafani $7,900 vs. Colorado Rockies
DeSclafani had a rough outing last time on the bump but pitched well against the Rockies earlier in the year. At Oracle Park, he held them to no runs with a walk and eight strikeouts in six innings. Colorado, as usual, has been horrible hitting the ball on the road. They’ve scored 11 runs in six games away from Coors Field. With the Giants righty striking out a batter per inning this season so far, get him in there to take care of the Rockies.
Sean Manaea $7,800 at Tampa Bay Rays
After a bad beginning to the year, Manaea has only given up three earned runs in his last 19 innings. That goes along with an impressive 18 Ks and just two walks. Tonight he gets the defending American League Champs. Aside from manhandling the New York Yankees, the Rays are 6-9 on the season and just lost a series at home against the Toronto Blue Jays while scoring eight runs in three games. Oakland will be looking to put the streak-busting game behind them and start another one behind Manaea.
On the Dirt
Ty France 2B $4,000
The kid who bats second in the Mariners lineup is 6-for-17 with four doubles in his last four games. He is also batting .320 on the year. His opponent, Jose Urquidy, hasn’t been great this season allowing 22 hits in 21 innings. The hits will be there and take the premium batting position from France who looks to extend his modest hitting streak to five.
Nick Maton SS $2,800
You don’t get much cheaper than this and the Phillies infielder is hot right now. With injuries to Didi Gregorius and Jean Segura, Maton was pressed into duty. He has played just six games but has gone 11-for-22 with three doubles including four straight multi-hit games. There is no reason to not get him in your lineups against Adam Wainwright.
On the Grass
Cedric Mullins OF $3,500
The leadoff hitter for the Baltimore Orioles is 6-for14 in his last three games. He gets to face Deivi Garcia making his season debut. Mullins can drive the ball as well with eight doubles and a home run on the season. He also has two stolen bases. This is a great price for a hitter who is hot facing off against a pitcher who is just getting his first taste of a big-league mound this year.
Dylan Carlson OF $3,300
I’m not sure how many times I have to put his name in here until someone at DraftKings prices him higher but you won’t hear me complaining. The Rookie of the Year candidate has performed his way up to batting second. He has back-to-back three-hit games now and is on fire. Grab him tonight at this price and reap the rewards.
Stack
A nice affordable stack lies with the top of the order for the Orioles. The aforementioned Mullins ($3,500), Trey Mancini ($4,400), and DJ Stewart ($2,800). These are the top three hitters tonight against Garcia and cost a total of $10,700. Let’s remember that Garcia lost the battle for a fifth spot in the Yankees rotation and pitched to a 4.98 ERA last year. Stack these guys and combined they should give you a solid return on your investment. In fact, I am making Mancini my home run call of the night.
Good Luck Everyone.
