NBA Games - Lakers, Bucks

Some NBA plays are so iconic that we are forced to label them. “Dunk of the Year,” “Block of the Year,” and “Game-winner of the Year” are among some of the most recognizable superlatives.

We had plenty of those memorable plays in the last few weeks and they will become defining moments for the current NBA season. Now, we can’t wait to see what the new week holds for us.

Here are a few games and stories to keep in mind when viewing the upcoming schedule.

March 26: Los Angeles Lakers at Milwaukee Bucks

With a one-point loss against the Lakers earlier this month still fresh on their minds, the Bucks will seek a win this time around. Damian Lillard got a good look for the potential game-winning shot but was spectacularly blocked by Spencer Dinwiddie. Look for Lillard to redeem himself against Dinwiddie or D’Angelo Russell, who hit the game-winner.

March 26 and 29: Dallas Mavericks at Sacramento Kings

These teams are fighting for the sixth spot in the West and the excitement level gets kicked up a little higher because these teams play each other twice in four days. That’s like a mini-playoff series right there, right? The Kings get the advantage of being at home for both games, though, so that is one thing the Mavericks must overcome.

March 27: Phoenix Suns at Denver Nuggets

This will be the final meeting between these two teams. Looking back at what happened last time, you can expect another brilliant showdown. Although the Nuggets erased a 22-point lead, the Suns still went on to win in overtime. Can you imagine this matchup in the postseason with all starters healthy? No doubt the TV ratings would go way, way up for the NBA.

Battle for the Fourth Spot in the West

The Los Angeles Clippers and the New Orleans Pelicans are giving us something to watch out for. Both teams, who are stuck in spots No. 4 and 5, will surely monitor each other’s progress from now on. At this rate, they could be meeting each other in the NBA Playoffs with the odds favoring the No. 4 seed, who will have home-court advantage.

Battle for the Sixth Spot in the East

Another race to follow occurs in the East where three teams are gunning for the same spot. With the sixth seed up for grabs, look for the Indiana Pacers, the Miami Heat, and the Philadelphia 76ers to make a run. Don’t sleep on the Sixers, who remain alive despite being without Joel Embiid.
