It is all about Boston this week. Whether it is the action on the hardwood, on the bench, or off the court, the Celtics are surely going to be on everyone’s radar in a few days. They have four games this week, including three with “must-see” vibes.
It’s time to see what else awaits us in the upcoming week.
January 8: Boston Celtics at Indiana Pacers
This should be fun. The Celtics and the Pacers can be found in the top 10 when it comes to points per game, field goals made per game, and three-pointers made per game. We should also include one more thing to make this game even more interesting: blocks per game. Both teams are near the top five when it comes to shot-blocking. Now you know what to watch out for when viewing this game.
January 11: Phoenix Suns at Los Angeles Lakers
Including the In-Season Tournament, the Suns already have a three-game losing streak against the Lakers this season. Presumably, this game is a must-win for Phoenix. LeBron James scored 15 points in the fourth quarter as the Lakers won a close game the last time these teams met. All in all, the Lakers have defeated the Suns by five points or less in their last three matchups.
January 11: Boston Celtics at Milwaukee Bucks
Jrue Holiday should be the man to watch out for. First of all, he will be visiting Milwaukee as an opponent after spending three seasons with the Bucks. We all know he became an All-Star there and even won a title with them. Second, he might want to play better this time around. He only had one field goal and one assist the last time he faced his former team.
January 13: Orlando Magic at Oklahoma City Thunder
Paolo Banchero versus Chet Holmgren would have been a nice battle to watch last year, but we lost out on that when Holmgren got injured. Well, we have our chance to see both of them play against each other now. Other things to take note of are the rise of Oklahoma’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the improved play of Orlando’s Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs.
January 13: Houston Rockets at Boston Celtics
Ime Udoka, who was involved in a scandal as Boston’s coach, will be returning to the “scene of the crime” and will be gossiped about all over town. It is an awkward moment, for sure, and recording how he acts on the sidelines will be every cameraman’s mission for the night. The cameras will definitely be rolling for this game.
