When the NBA schedule was released, you can bet that players immediately studied the dates carefully, eager to see things like homestands, roadtrips, and other interesting quirks. Knowing these key dates will help them with their travel preparations.

Let us now focus our eyes on teams from the Pacific Division and see if anything unusual stands out from their schedules.

Sacramento Kings

Good luck to the Sacramento Kings, who will have a tough five-week stretch before the All-Star Break. They will endure a 19-game run in which 15 contests will be on the road. If the team has representatives for the yearly All-Star festivities, they will have to fly all the way to Indiana for an extended roadtrip.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers and their fans will want to keep an eye out for the first week of February. If LeBron James averages around 27 points per game, he could reach a milestone inside the world-famous Madison Square Garden. That milestone will be about him accumulating a total of 40,000 points for his career. The tricky part here is to make sure that James doesn’t suffer any injuries.

Los Angeles Clippers

Look at the team’s schedule during the second week of November. They will be in Brooklyn before they travel to Dallas, Los Angeles for a home game, and then to Denver. Can you see what’s unique and challenging about that? The Clippers will be playing in four different time zones in a span of seven days. That’s Eastern, Central, Pacific, and then Mountain time.

Golden State Warriors

The NBA will sometimes arrange the schedule to make sure that a team plays all Texas-based teams in one road trip. They call it the “Texas Triangle” and the Warriors will be going through it soon. The Dubs can prepare for a late-season seven-game road trip that includes a three-stopper in Texas. Will the Warriors win all three?

Phoenix Suns

Next year’s NCAA Finals will be held in Arizona. This, no doubt, has everyone on Phoenix’s roster excited. With a homestand from April 2 to 9, players will be able to watch the NCAA Finals on April 8 in nearby Glendale. The team will have a game the next day, though. Will their coach schedule a practice session or will this be a day off for the whole team?
