With the most recent NBA Draft still fresh in our minds and the NBA Summer League taking place this month, now is a good time to reflect on how some of the rookies from past years are doing 10 years later.
Naturally, looking back at the 2015 NBA Draft would be the first and best place to start.
Let’s take a look at some of these players.
Nikola Jokic
He was drafted in 2014 but played his first game a year later. Technically, that made him a rookie for the 2015-16 NBA season. The Serbian gained stardom rapidly after his third season. Since there are too many highlights to mention, let’s just jump straight to the part where his Denver Nuggets team won the 2023 title.

Karl-Anthony Towns
Towns won hearts and minds on both sides of the court. The former No. 1 pick has impressive scoring abilities, dominant defense, and enough highlight reels to thrill the neutral fans. There were some struggles in the NBA Playoffs, but that will not take the shine off an otherwise terrific career so far.
Devin Booker
Is the sun already setting on Booker’s career? Let us hope not, because the sharp-shooter has to be Phoenix’s favorite hooper by now. With all the player movements and hectic coaching changes the team went through in the past several years, it is amazing to see Booker survive and stick around.
Kristaps Porzingis
When you are known as the unicorn, you know you are unique in a good way. Porzingis quickly earned that nickname when he surprisingly impressed all of us. Now, fans, who booed the New York Knicks for drafting him 10 years ago, are regretting his departure. Those same fans probably hated it when he went on to win a title with the 2023-24 Boston Celtics.
Kristaps Porzingis was unstoppable when he was healthy. Whether he missed a ton of games or not, he ultimately helped Boston raise their 18th banner and for that I’ll always love and appreciate Kristaps. Boston Legend in my book ☘️ pic.twitter.com/fPxiH0FiSk

Myles Turner
Being in the NBA Finals will certainly get you recognized. Just ask Turner, who finally grabbed a big contract after helping the Indiana Pacers wade through four rounds of postseason play before losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the title game. Now, he joins the Milwaukee Bucks, who will need his effective shooting and all-around stats next season.
