Welcome ladies and gentlemen! My name is Shaun and I’m the newest addition to the family! I’m here to give you my top targets for each NBA Draftkings slate which ranges from the top pay up spots to the best value spots for the slate. We have a small 2 game slate tonight so things may get a little difficult as there is very little room for error. We just need to find that one key player who will give us the edge in our contests. So let’s dive in and get to digging!

Top Pay Up Spots

Giannis Antetokounmpo versus Portland Trailblazers ($10,600)

This is most likely going to be the chalkiest play of the night and for good reason. The Greek Freak has only hit below 50 fantasy points one time this season and has already put up more than 70 fantasy points five times. So if you are fading this man then you may have an issue with your DFS life. Giannis is holding a usage rating of 35% and averaging 1.9 fantasy points per minute.

The Portland Trailblazers have some low spots on defense but on paper, they have been doing pretty decent versus forwards. They are currently giving up just 39.72 fantasy points to the position. They are allowing them to average 19 points, nine rebounds, and three assists per game. With the recently poor defensive performance of the Trailblazers though, Milwaukee may just dominate this game hugely.

CJ McCollum versus Milwaukee Bucks ($7,500)

With no Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum gets a huge boost on the court. His usage rate goes from 26% to 33% and averages 27 points with five rebounds and five assists per game. McCollum has put up three good performances with 54, 41.3 and 42 fantasy points while averaging close to 37 minutes in those games. Even adding Carmelo Anthony to the starting lineup, McCollum should still reach his full value.

The Milwaukee Bucks are allowing opposing shooting guards to average 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists per game while giving up 41.9 fantasy points to the position. With no one else to lean on CJ McCollum will be the leader for the time that Damian Lillard is out.

Brandon Ingram versus Phoenix Suns ($7,000)

There really aren’t too many bright spots on this slate that are worth paying up for so that is the reason why Brandon Ingram is on this list for this small slate. He has put up four straight games of 40 or more fantasy points since his down game versus the Oklahoma City Thunders. Ingram is averaging 25 points, seven rebounds and four assists per game with a usage rating of 29%. He is also averaging 44.1 fantasy points per game while averaging 1.36 fantasy points per minute.

On the defensive end of things, the Phoenix Suns haven’t been that bad as they are giving up just 41.3 fantasy points to the small forward position. They are allowing them to average 20 points, seven rebounds, and four assists per game also. If you are looking to avoid the chalky Giannis Antetokounmpo then Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum are the next ones to target and have some higher exposure to.

Top Value Spots

Donte DiVincenzo versus Portland Trailblazers ($4,400)

With it being just a two-game slate there isn’t much to dig through for value plays but Donte DiVincenzo has been exceeding his value. In his past three games he has scored 25, 33.5, and 25.8 fantasy points He’s averaging 17 minutes per game with a usage rate of 18%. DiVencenzo has also surpassed 20 minutes four games straight now.

The Portland Trailblazers aren’t the best at defending opposing point guards as they allow them 55 fantasy points per game. With a pay down spot like Donte DiVincenzo, I believe you’ll be in good hands to have his value returned and exceeded.

Nassir Little versus Milwaukee Bucks ($4,100)

Another young star to watch is Nassir Little who should be in line for a similar role once again tonight. With Damian Lillard ruled out already, we know Carmelo Anthony will most likely see around the 20-minute mark once again leaving room for Little. He held a 4% ownership on Tuesday, which I don’t think will be the case tonight sadly, and he is averaging .81 fantasy points per minute.

He does have to face the Milwaukee Bucks though who give up just the third-fewest fantasy points to small forwards. But with some attention on Melo and the tough match-up of the Milwaukee Bucks, this may be the one case where Little goes overlooked on such a small slate.

Cheick Diallo versus New Orleans Pelicans ($3,500)

With all of the injury news of the Phoenix Suns, Cheick Diallo is in a great position for playing time and at such a low price. Derrick Favors and Aron Baynes have already been ruled out for tonight’s contest. Diallo recorded 15 minutes on Tuesday versus the Sacramento Kings and put up 11 fantasy points. There isn’t much to base Diallo’s play off of this season but with no other centers besides Frank Kaminsky, who is also questionable, then Diallo is the man who can only beat himself tonight.
