NBA DFS Core Four 8/12/20

We are back with another edition of Core Four! We are making bank with our plays and we hope to continue that trend! Lots of fun games and players today so let’s get right to it!

As usual, prices below are DraftKings!

Shake Milton ($5,400) Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors

Milton is an easy play. You might be thinking, why the heck is a dude averaging 9.4 points per game, and 2.2 rebounds a game a DFS play. To make matters worse, going up against a Raptors team that allows the fifth least points to opposing guards? Well, Ben Simmons is out for the season following a knee injury. That opens up a boatload of minutes for Melton. He is coming off a game where he played 26 minutes, scoring 16 points and five rebounds, I’m expecting a similar performance tonight, and at this price point, he’s a must have!

Aaron Holiday ($4,600) Indiana Pacers @ Houston Rockets

Holiday is a matchup based play. He’s getting tons of minutes but isn’t quite equating to much fantasy value. Tonight, the matchup is extra juicy against a Rockets team that allows the 27th most points to opposing guards. Holiday is averaging 9.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. I’m expecting him to have a very good game against a very bad Rockets defense. He could easily put up 15 points, five rebounds, and chip in a few assists. At this price point, why not take a gamble on him?

Pascal Siakam ($7,500) Toronto Raptors @ Philadelphia 76ers

Siakam seems to have found his mojo again after putting up 30 plus fantasy points in two straight games. He seems to have turned the table after a slump that has begun since the NBA reset began. On the year, he’s still averaging a very nice 23 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Tonight, he gets the 76ers, in what should be a playoff preview. He is going to play with an extra step. He is going to shred the 76ers defense tonight, and especially without Simmons presence on the court, Siakam should feast all night!

Nikola Jokic ($9,200) Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Clippers

Jokic is coming off a fantastic game where he dropped 30 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. He is going to keep the good times rolling tonight in a plus matchup against the Clippers, who rank 15th against opposing centers. The Clippers will have trouble all night guarding the monster Jokic, and he’s a threat at a triple-double on any given night. Tonight is no exception. He’s my LOCK of the night, and I’m going to watch him put up eye-opening numbers. Get him in your lineup, and enjoy the ride!

That does it for this edition of Core Four! Hope you guys enjoyed it and good luck! Follow Josh Livi on Twitter @GangGreenNYK Main Image Credit: Embed from Getty Images
