Monday Night Football Week 10: 49ers vs Seahawks DFS

Brandon Braasch | November 11th, 2019

This is the best Monday Night Football game so far this year. The undefeated San Francisco 49ers face off against their divisional rival Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are 7-2 and need to win this game if they want to win the division. The 49ers can take a three-game lead in the division and be in control of there own destiny for the top seed in the NFC with a victory. Here are my top players for tonight’s game.

DraftKings Captain

Deebo Samuel (7,200 DK Captain, 4,800 DK, and 8,000 FD)

In the last two weeks, Samuel has been the number two receiver in terms of snap count. He has played 66% and 70% in the last two weeks. That is second to only Emmanuel Sanders. With George Kittle unlikely to play in tonight’s game, Jimmy Garoppolo is going to have to look more to his receivers in the passing attack. Look for the first-year receiver out of South Carolina to have his best game of his career in primetime.

FanDuel MVP

Russell Wilson (11,400 DK and 16,000 FD)

Wilson is by far the best player on the Seahawks. They will only win this game if he plays like the MVP he has been all season. The 49ers have the top defense in terms of yards given up all year. They only allow 241 yards per game and only 131 yards passing. However, they have not played a top quarterback all year. They have only faced one quarterback that was in the playoffs last year (Jared Goff). They have faced five teams with losing records and three teams with winning records. Look for Wilson to give this defense there first huge test and for him to come out on top with a great performance.

Flex Players

Jimmy Garoppolo (11,000 DK and 15,000 FD)

This game is going to be a shootout. Both quarterbacks are going to need to be at the top of there game for there teams to win. Garoppolo is coming off of his best game throwing for 317 yards and four touchdowns. He gets a matchup vs the Seahawks defense who has given up 278.1 passing yards per game. He should be able to carve up the secondary and put up numbers similar to last week’s game.

D.K. Metcalf (7,800 DK and 12,500 FD)

Metcalf has been one of the best rookies all year. He has five touchdowns on the year and is the number two receiver on the Seahawks. Even though Josh Gordon got picked up by the Seahawks he shouldn’t get too many snaps as they will try and ease him into the offense. I expect the 49ers to focus on Tyler Lockett with Richard Sherman and Wilson to be locked in on Metcalf all game long.

Players to Avoid

Chris Carson (8,600 DK and 12,000 FD)

Carson is going to struggle to get it going on the ground. The 49ers front seven will get after him and he has struggled to hold on to the football all year. He has fumbled five times and this has been his biggest problem. If he struggles in this game, that might force the Seahawks to abandon the run and let Wilson and the passing attack take over the game.

Dante Pettis (3,400 DK and 6,000 FD)

Pettis was very good against the Seahawks last year. He had 10 catches for 212 yards and two touchdowns. However, he has struggled to get snaps since Sanders got traded to the 49ers. He has only played 30% of snaps over the last two weeks. Barring an injury, he should only see around 30% of snaps again.

Game Predictions

This game is going to be a shootout. Both teams are going to go back and forth. Wilson is going to make just a couple more plays to be able to steal this game and hand the 49ers there first loss. Final score 34-30 as the Seahawks defense is able to hold the 49ers on their final drive to seal the victory.

Player Predictions

Samuel: 88 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Garoppolo: 307 passing yards and three touchdowns

Wilson: 298 total yards and three touchdowns.

Metcalf: 78 receiving yards and one touchdown.
