Monday Night Football DFS Week Six: Lions vs Packers

We have another primetime divisional matchup. The Green Bay Packers are looking to win and stay on top of the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North. The Detroit Lions need to win or they will drop to the last place in the division. Here are my top players in this Monday Night NFC North slugfest.

MVP/DraftKings Captain

Aaron Jones (17,100 DK Captain, 11,400 DK, and 14,000 FD)

Jones just came off of his best game as a pro. He had four touchdowns and over 100 rushing yards. He has scored at least one touchdown in four straight games. He gets a divisional matchup against the Lions who have given up 499 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns this year. Jones is a safe play and also has the ability to break out like he did last week.

Flex Players

Kerryon Johnson (8,600 DK and 12,000 FD)

Johnson is the featured back in the Lions offense. J.D. McKissic and Ty Johnson have not really stolen too many snaps this year. Johnson is a safe play but he has only ran for more than 100 yards three times in his career. The Packers have struggled against the run this year allowing 5.2 yards per carry and six touchdowns. Look for Johnson to be the focus of the Lions offense.

Jimmy Graham (7,000 DK and 8,000 FD)

With Davante Adams out for the game, Graham is going to need to step up. Graham is going to be the guy Aaron Rodgers looks to in the red zone and on third down. Graham only had three receptions last week but it was the Jones show. Look for Graham to be a big part of the red zone offense and hopefully use his basketball skills to box out the defense and grab a touchdown.

Kickers

I really like both kickers in this game. Both defenses are going to be on top of there game. This game is going to be focused on football and playing defense. Both defenses are going to focus on stopping the opposing quarterbacks. Look for both teams to be able to move the ball but there drives to stall out in the red zone.

Mason Crosby (3,800 DK and 9,000 FD)

Last year, Crosby struggled against the Lions. He missed four field goals in the first game and did not attempt a field goal in the second. He is going to be looking to bounce back and has kicked well this year when given the opportunities.

Matt Prater (3,600 DK and 9,500 FD)

Prater has scored nine plus points in three of four games this year. Last week he was able to make three field goals and three extra points. Look for him to build off that performance and hopefully get double digits.

Players to Fade

Both quarterbacks are going to be high owned. Both defenses are going to make their main focus stopping the quarterback. That’s why I like both running backs in this game. I would take Rodgers over Matthew Stafford if I was going that route but I’m going to be fading both quarterbacks in this contest.

Game Predictions

This is going to be a hard-fought divisional battle. Whichever team can find the most success running, that football will win. I think the Packers are going to do this best and Jones continues to find the end zone. Final score 27-19 with the Packers forcing a Stafford turnover late to seal the win.
