Monday Night Football DFS: Week 6

christian kirk

This Monday night matchup was shaping up to be a battle between two MVP candidates. Unfortunately, Dak Prescott went down with a season-ending injury last week, so Andy Dalton will be leading the Dallas Cowboys into a matchup with Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals. If you like defensive battles then this game is not for you. The Cowboys give up an average of 36 points per game which is the worst in the NFL. The Cardinals defense has only allowed 20.4 points per game but they have yet to face a team with a winning record. Let’s take a look at the top players in this potentially high scoring affair.

DraftKings Captain & Fanduel MVP

Ezekiel Elliott (DK Captain $15,900 | FD $15,500)

Elliott is going to see all the carries he can handle this week. Dalton will be making his first start for the Cowboys and Elliott will be used to take the pressure off of him. They have a bad defense and the best way to keep that defense off the field is to control the clock and run the football. The Cardinals defense has allowed an average of 106.8 rushing yards to running backs this season. Elliott will have a big game and is a great play at the Captain slot.

Value DraftKings Captain

Christian Kirk (DK Captain $9,000 | FD $10,000)

DeAndre Hopkins is going to see a lot of the attention from the Cowboys defense. Kirk is fully healthy and due for a big game. He has yet to break 100 yards receiving this season and only has one touchdown. The Cowboys secondary has struggled severely this season and if there’s any game on the schedule for Kirk to break out it’s this game. Kirk is a great option for the captain slot in GPPs. Look for him to have a big game and break 100 yards for the first time this season.

Value Players

Chase Edmonds (DK $7,000 | FD $9,500)

Edmonds is slowly starting to see more and more snaps each week and saw a season-high 45 percent of snaps last week. He has seen six targets in each of the last two games. He is more of the receiving back but was able to score a rushing touchdown last week. Edmonds and Kenyan Drake could see close to a 50/50 split in snaps, especially if the Cardinals look to get Edmonds more carries. Look for Edmonds to have another good game and continue to force the Cardinals to give him opportunities.

Michael Gallup (DK $5,600 | FD $11,000)

Dalton will be making his first start this season and he hasn’t had much time to work with the first team. However, when Dalton entered the game last week, he was targeting Gallup. On the final drive, he completed two passes for 57 yards en route to a game-winning field goal. It’s still to be determined who Dalton’s go-to target will be but Gallup is a strong candidate and is the cheapest of the big three Cowboys receivers. Look for Dalton to look Gallup’s way all night long.

Week 11 in the NFL brought more chaos, with at least five games on Sunday being decided by a single score. Notably, the Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts won their games by just one point.
