Week 14 in the National Football League concludes under the bright light of Monday Night Football this evening with the New England Patriots (6-6) traveling to the desert to battle the Arizona Cardinals (4-8). With playoff implications on the line, what better way to add to your viewing pleasure than to examine a few MNF best bets sure to win you some money?

Best Bet No. 1: Over 43.5 Points (-110)
I locked this one in at 43.5, and since then, the line has increased to 44.0. Although at times the Patriots sport a rather anemic offense, New England does indeed have the propensity to “shoot out the lights” as exemplified on Thanksgiving. I’m not implying we’ll see the same result here, but that may very well be the case which further plays into siding with the over. In addition, with both teams enjoying some extra rest (New England’s last game was 11 days ago, and Arizona is coming off their bye week), I think we’re going to see some big plays down the field and points on the board in this one. Ride with the over here, folks.
Best Bet No. 2: Cardinals +1.5 (-110)
Like the previous bet, I was able to lock in the Cardinals early at +1.5, and since then, the spread has shifted to +2.5. May this be a lesson to prospective bettors: lock in what you like before the market adjusts. Patriots quarterback Mac Jones is coming off an abysmal performance in which he averaged just 5.4 yards per attempt versus the Buffalo Bills last Thursday. Tonight, he’ll go head-to-head with Kyler Murray on the road in what is projected to be a close game from many “in the know” across the NFL landscape. Coming into this evening, the Pats are the favorites, which gives us value on the Cards. If I’m being totally honest, I’d even support the Cards on the moneyline (at +105), but we’ll take them on the spread just to be safe. I have a sneaky good feeling that the Cards are going to play an excellent game this evening, which may even result in them winning. Take the value and run with it, folks.
Best Bet No. 3: James Conner Under 61.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Although he has played well over the past few weeks, James Conner will face a tough test tonight against a stingy Patriots defense. In addition, Arizona’s offensive line is facing a myriad of injuries. The Patriots are also playing much better on the defensive side of the ball in recent weeks. I mean, should we expect anything less from Bill Belichick? Since Week 10, the Pats rank fourth in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game and second in rushing success rate. It may come close, but I’m inclined to roll with the under.
As always, enjoy the game, football fans.
