Monday Night DFS: Week 8

Monday Night DFS Tom Brady

This week Monday night football features Tom Brady facing off against the team that is responsible for two of his three super bowl losses. That was with the New England Patriots and now Brady will be leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers into the Meadowlands to face off against Daniel Jones and the New York Giants. The Buccaneers have won two straight and the Giants picked up their first win of the season two weeks ago. Let’s take a look at the top players for this Monday Night showdown.

DraftKings Captain | FanDuel MVP

Tom Brady (DK Captain $18,000 | FD $16,500)

Brady struggled at the start of the season mainly due to turnovers. He had a total of eight turnovers in his first five games. In the last two games, he has not turned the ball over and has scored a total of seven touchdowns. The Giant’s defense in their last game let Carson Wentz throw for 359 yards and two touchdowns. That was with Wentz missing most of his weapons. Brady is getting the offense rolling and that will continue against this struggling Giants defense.

Value DK Captain

Scotty Miller (DK Captain $12,900 | FD $11,000)

Miller is in line to be Brady’s number two receiver in this game. This might be Miller’s last game as the number two receiver. Chris Godwin is out and will be back after a few games and with the addition of Antonio Brown Miller will slide down the depth chart. This week Mike Evans will likely draw James Bradberry and Brady will be forced to look for Miller in the slot. Miller had a solid game last week going for 109 yards and one touchdown. Look for Miller to continue that success this week.

Utility Players

Wayne Gallman Jr (DK $5,200 | FD $11,500)

Gallman and Dion Lewis will man the Giants backfield in this Monday night matchup. Gallman however should be the lead back. He played 53% of snaps compared to Lewis who played 25%. Gallman turned those snaps into a solid week with 54 total yards and one touchdown. The Giants will likely be playing from behind most of this game and Gallman showed last week with his five receptions that he can be a factor in the passing attack. This season, the Buccaneers defense has allowed running backs an average of 6.7 receptions for 50.8 yards. Look for Gallman to have success in the passing attack Monday night.

Rob Gronkowski (DK $8,000 | FD $9,500)

Gronk is finally starting to see targets and he has proved that he can still be productive in the passing game. He has seen eight targets in each of his last two games and has caught five of those and scored a touchdown in each of those games. The Giant’s defense gives up an average of 5.5 receptions per game to tight ends. Gronk has caught five passes in each of the last two games and has been able to put up plenty of fantasy points with those receptions.
