Time for another edition of MLB DFS from your boy. We’ve been rocking this year and will continue to keep the bargains coming. There are plenty of them on this huge 12-game slate for DraftKings at 7:05 pm EDT. As usual, these are bargains at $4,000 and under which is gold for your DFS lineups if they produce. It also allows you to stack the rest of your lineup with studs.
It is Bartolo Colon‘s 49th birthday today, but as a Twins fan, I will never forgive him for stealing Johan Santana‘s Cy Young Award that year. Call me bitter, but that would have gotten Johan a lot more votes toward the Hall of Fame.
Be sure to check us out daily for our DFS content.
On the Mound
Framber Valdez vs. Cleveland Guardians ($8,200)
The lefty in Houston has put together a solid five-game stretch. He has had a quality start in each of them and has a 27/9 K/BB rate in that time. He gets to face the Guardians at home. While their offense has been surprising overall, they have scored just 23 runs in their last seven games. The Astros lefty should shut them down.
Sonny Gray vs. Detroit Tigers ($6,800)
Despite having only made it to the fifth inning in two of his last three starts, Gray has put up points. He has had at least 17 in his last three outings and gets to face an anemic Tigers lineup at home. Detroit is last in the AL in runs scored, home runs, and stolen bases. They don’t pose a threat and at this price, Gray should be in play easily.
On the Dirt
Luis Arraez, 1B ($3,600)
The Swiss army knife has three straight multi-hit games. The Twins overall have scored 41 runs in their last five games and are clicking. Arraez is set to bat second in the lineup tonight which should give him a solid floor. Take the easy 8-12 points Arraez has been good for.
Alec Bohm, 3B ($3,700)
Bohm has been solid for the Phillies this season with a .739 OPS. He is getting hot though with 4-for-13 over his last three games including a home run. He faces Max Fried which isn’t an easy task, but the Atlanta lefty has been human against right-handed hitters this season allowing a .693 OPS. Bohm could make it work and is my HR Call tonight.
On the Grass
Max Kepler ($3,400)
We went with him on Sunday, and he didn’t disappoint going 2-for-4 with a double and putting up 16 DK points in DFS. Let’s rock him again facing right-hander Beau Brieske who has a bad 5.01 ERA and horrible peripherals allowing seven homers in 26.1 innings while walking 11.
Mike Yastrzemski ($3,400)
I have picked on him multiple times and tonight is no exception. Although he faces Chris Bassitt from the New York Mets, Yaz has a seven-game hitting streak going where he has produced 77 total DK points in DFS. It may be a tougher matchup than usual, but I trust the young outfielder to get it done.
Good Luck with all of your DFS lineups.
