The Los Angeles Dodgers head into tonight’s game up 2-1 over the Tampa Bay Rays. After tonight the Dodgers will either be one game away from their first World Series championship in 32 years or the series will turn into a best-of-three. Either way, let’s make some money with MLB DFS for October 24.
Captain
Julio Urias ($15,600)
I am rarely a fan of spending heavily on the Captain in Showdowns. Tonight is a little different. Urias has a 16/3 K/BB rate in the playoffs this year and has allowed only one run in 16 innings. On the other side, the Rays have scored only 36 runs in their last 10 postseason games. They also have a horrendous 30/6 K/BB rate in three WS games. The Dodgers lefty is on full rest and has proven he can throw 100 pitches. Look for Urias to dominate this matchup and rack up the Ks.
Utility
Justin Turner ($8,600)
Big Red has been driving the ball over the past seven games. He is 8-26 and has five doubles and two HRs in that time. Turner is relatively cheap compared to the other big hitters in the Dodgers lineup and he bats third. Save the money and lock him in as he is my Home Run Call tonight.
Manuel Margot ($6,800)
Although his price has gone up slightly, Margot is still a bargain. He has batted fifth all series and has gone 10-30 in his last nine games, getting on base in each one of them. Take the price while it is still fairly cheap and the solid floor especially in cash games.
Austin Barnes ($4,600)
If you are looking for a nice cheap option, here it is. Not only did Barnes execute a perfect squeeze play last night, but he also went yard. He bats ninth and can get you some points when the lineup turns over. If you are looking to stack 9-1-2-3 of the Dodgers lineup you may need to go cheaper and get Barnes in your Captain spot so you can afford Mookie Betts and Corey Seager along with Turner. It could be well worth it and I wouldn’t argue with that play.
Good Luck Everyone!
