MLB DFS 6/3: 12 Game Values and Studs

MLB DFS 2022

Get back in here, MLB DFS scoundrels. There is a monster 12-game slate to choose players from tonight. It’s going to be a good (and profitable) Friday, so let’s get right to it.

You know how this goes. I’m going to drop some serious value picks and the the “Stud Finder” afterwards will help fill out lineups. Choosing those big bats is easy; picking the values is where we win or lose our money. We’re on quite a streak of choosing successful inexpensive plays, so let’s keep that streak going. Time to fatten that bankroll.

Make sure to bookmark our DFS page for our daily lineup picks.

Value on the Hill

Tyler Anderson – vs New York Mets ($9,500)

Anderson has crushed the skeptics with a 6-0 record on the strength of a 2.90 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP, He’s striking out nine batters per nine and has a potent offense supporting him. The Mets can put runs across the plate plenty often, but in the pitchers’ park known as Chavez Ravine, Anderson is a safe bet,

Nathan Evoladi – at Oakland ($8,000)

This is highway robbery. Eovaldi may not be on the best team, but a talented pitcher in Oakland is a must-start seven ways from Sunday. Eovaldi’s price has dropped each week, and I’m not entirely sure why. His last time out, he fired a complete game against Baltimore, despite allowing three runs (two earned). The righty is still averaging over nine per nine innings. With the huge foul ground in Oakland, he could own the diamond.

Value in the Field

Yandy Diaz, 3B – vs Chicago White Sox ($3,900)

What a bargain against rookie Davis Martin. Martin had a great first time out, with five innings and seven strikeouts, but that doesn’t do a ton to inspire confidence. Diaz has not inspired much, either (.266/.393/.350), but the 30-year-old could take advantage of this matchup. Not only that, but he’s hitting in a lineup that will offer him plenty of opportunity to cross the plate against the rookie pitcher.

Luis Rengifo, 2B – vs Philadelphia ($3,000)

Maybe my deepest dive of the the 2022 season, Rengifo has a hit in 11 of his last 14 contests. Four of those were multi-hit performances. While not a terribly sexy pick, a .271 average and .729 OPS in 2022 ain’t too shabby for a middle infielder. Opposing pitcher Zach Eflin has been terrible in 2022, and his 1.21 WHIP plays right into Rengifo’s hands. Expect him to be aboard and score multiple times.

Kevin Kiermaier, OF – vs Chicago White Sox ($3,600)

If you cannot tell, I’m not terribly high on Martin for Chicago. Any time I can get a leadoff hitter for a sub-$4K price, I am taking it. Kiermaier has had an ugly season thus far. However, against a rookie and playing at home is enough for me to pay a discounted rate. We did this yesterday and it worked out well, so let’s run it back.

Stud Finder: Travis d’Arnaud (C – NYM), Rhys Hoskins (1B – PHI), Javier Baez (SS – DET), Luis Robert (OF – CWS), Nick Castellanos (OF – PHI)

Spend money wisely and then go nuts on the heavy-hitters. Good luck with all your lineups tonight.
