On the Hill

Pablo Lopez – vs Washington ($9,900)

Fixed in a first-rate rotation starring Sandy Alcantara, Lopez has nested at the top of the enthralling group. Composing a 0.52 ERA in just three appearances, Lopez has been nothing but masterful. Lopez was not presented with a serene schedule, to say the least. Fronting the blazing Giants followed by the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals, Lopez was reluctant to exhibit any sign of frailty. In his most recent gem (a contest with the Cardinals), Lopez dispatched seven frames accompanied by nine strikeouts. Nonetheless, The 26-year-old yearns to carry on his recent flourish as the Marlins resume a three-game set with the Washington Nationals.

Joe Ryan – at Detroit ($9,600)

The rookie sensation has been firing on all cylinders to unlatch the fresh season. Within a robust Minnesota Twins rotation, Ryan has proven to be a mainstay. In three starts, Ryan toeholds a 1.69 ERA topped by 16 strikeouts. In contrast to his limited timetable in the majors, dating to 2021, he has shown signs of a new and improved physique. Over five appearances in 2021, Ryan allowed 12 earned runs over 26.2 frames of work. If the 25-year-old can maintain his virtuous advent, the Twins will have a new advocate for their pitching staff. Ryan and the Twins continue their three-game set and will face the Detroit Tigers at 7:40 pm.

The Slugging Bats

Byron Buxton – vs Detroit ($6,200)

Despite the uncertainty pertaining to his injury record, Buxton seems to be unfettered of any defect. The center fielder has been the radial point of the Twins’ offense. Framing a .351 batting average mirrored by six long balls, Buxton is on the verge of yet another prosperous season. All the more so, the 28-year-old has fostered a 1.2 WAR (wins above replacement), which ranks sixth among all major leaguers. Buxton and the Twins host the second game of the series as Michael Pineda of the Tigers toes the slab at 7:40 pm.

Anthony Rizzo – vs Baltimore ($5,500)

Following Rizzo’s demonstration of power and potency in last night’s showcase, the veteran first baseman has been on a tear. Blasting three home runs in the contest with the Orioles, Rizzo has undermined the home run relay with a tally of eight big flies. In addition to his home run ability, Rizzo preserves a .283 batting average while plating 18 RBI. The 32-year-old hopes to conserve his 1.144 OPS as the Yankees confront Tyler Wells and his Orioles for an AL East clash.

Seiya Suzuki – at Atlanta ($5,900)

“Seiya Later” has been the core element of the Cubs’ offense. Grasping a .354 average compelled by a 1.180 OPS, Suzuki has been the celebrity of Wrigley Field. After spending the bulk of his career in the NPB (Nippon Professional Baseball) which resides in Japan, Suzuki has transferred his talents to the MLB. On the diamond or at the dish, Suzuki has made his presence felt in all aspects of the game. Suzuki and the Cubs will take on Charlie Morton and the Braves, set for 7:20 pm.

Other Options: Zach Plesac (SP – CLE, $8,500), Mike Trout (OF – LAA, $6,100), Matt Olson (1B – ATL, $5,000)
