After suffering a 3-2 loss to RB Leipzig, Manchester United is officially eliminated from this 2020-2021 UEFA Champions League tournament. They now find themselves relegated to the Europa League.
The Red Devils were off to a great start after winning their first two matches. Unfortunately, losing their final two matches sealed their fate. They bow out with three wins and three losses. At this point, many are calling for the firing of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. While he is partially to blame, sacking him won’t do much good for the club. The on-field performance was not deserving of the Champions League knockout stage.

Where Do The Red Devils Go From Here?
They are lucky to even be in the Europa League. Their elimination from the Champions League is heartbreaking, but at least they are still competing for a title. In other words, the team has to accept and take responsibility for their demotion and make the very best of it. At this point, there are no excuses for their failure.
Unfortunately, due to their bad habit of sloppy play and lack of discipline and concentration, even the Europa League may be very difficult for the Red Devils. The team does not appear to be ready and it is time for that to change. Therefore, they have to get it together immediately. With all the talent at their disposal, losses and poor results are unacceptable. Positive results on the pitch begin with playing in a sublime manner and winning games effectively.
This weekend, Manchester United is playing Manchester City in the traditional classic Manchester derby thriller. The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League standings with their crosstown rivals right below them.
Manchester United has only one win in their last five home games in Premier League play. While the Red Devils are undefeated on the road in Premier League play, they have to start a winning streak at Old Trafford. A win this weekend can do the team a lot of good as long as they are able to build on it.
