The Los Angeles Rams are still clinging to life in hopes of making the playoffs. They came out Sunday night and played like they had something on the line throughout the whole game. That sense of urgency was the driving force behind their 28-12 win over the Seattle Seahawks.

This NFC West showdown was the perfect response for the reigning NFC champions after being blown out by the Baltimore Ravens two weeks ago. Rams quarterback Jared Goff spoke to the team’s resiliency in the dominating win during his postgame presser.

“It’s a sign of a good team. When bad things happen and you’re able to respond that way.”

Goff did his part in leading the Rams to a resounding win. He was 22 of 31 for 293 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Goff is completing over 70% of his passes in his last two games and has thrown for a total of 717 passing yards.

He outplayed his counterpart in Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson who is also one of the frontrunners for the MVP award. However, his play was far from MVP caliber in this matchup. The Rams held Wilson to completing 22 of 36 passes for 245 yards and one interception.

He was averaging 264.8 passing yards, 2.2 touchdowns, 0.3 interceptions, and completing 67% of his passes leading up to the game. The Rams defense did their part in sacking Wilson five times throughout the course of the game and keeping him on edge with 11 total hits.

The team has newfound confidence ever since they began taking the reigns off of Todd Gurley. The running back had 23 carries for 79 yards and a touchdown. He now has touchdowns in two straight games, something he has not done since Weeks four and five.

The Rams offense is starting to look like the innovative offense of years past, and much of it has to do with getting Gurley more involved. His engagement will play a big role in this final playoff push.

The Rams remaining games on their schedule will come against the Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, and Arizona Cardinals.
