Torey Krug will miss at least three weeks with a left ankle injury, the Bruins announced Monday.
The defenseman suffered the injury during the Bruins’ 4-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.
Last season, Krug led the Bruins defensemen in scoring with 14 goals and 45 assists, which means his absence could be bad news for the Bruins.
The Bruins start the regular season on the road on Wednesday against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals.
