Kings, Harrison Barnes agree to four-year deal

The Sacramento Kings have agreed to a four-year, $85 million contract, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic.

Barnes was drafted early in the first round of the 2012 draft by the Golden State Warriors. Once his rookie deal with the Dubs expired, he moved on to Dallas, where the Mavericks employed him from 2016 to 2019 before trading him to the Kings in February for Justin Jackson and Zach Randolph.

As a power forward and small forward between Dallas and Sacramento this past season, Barnes started all 77 games he appeared in, posting percentages of .395, .439, and .824 from outside the arc, inside the arc, and from the line, respectively. He averaged nearly 33 minutes on the floor per game while also posting averages of 4.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.2 blocks, 1.3 turnovers, and 16.4 points per game.
