Kelly Olynyk injures knee in Canada exhibition game

With training camp a month away, Miami Heat forward Kelly Olynyk picked up an injury Wednesday night.
While playing for the Canadian national team in a FIBA exhibition game against Nigeria, the Heat big man slipped on a wet spot on the court and had to be helped off the floor and brought to the locker room area.

After the game, according to Yahoo Sports Canada, the Canadian national team head coach Nick Nurse believes Olynyk suffered a knee injury. The 28-year-old had x-rays done post-game and an update is expected sometime today.

Olynyk averaged 10.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in 79 appearances for the Heat in 2018-19. While the Heat upgraded their team by adding Jimmy Butler, the team will really need Olynyk and his floor spacing.  So hopefully, the injury is not serious.
