Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson is going to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He received the news during halftime of the Seahawks-Packers game and was filled with emotion.

Johnson, a two-time Super Bowl champion (XXVII, XXVIII) as a coach, was in charge of the Cowboys from 1989 to 1993. He is one of only six coaches to coach consecutive Super Bowl winners.
Still to this day, Johnson still has not joined the Cowboys’ “Ring of Honor.” Johnson and Cowboys’ owner, Jerry Jones, have not been the best of friends over the years and before the McCarthy hire, fans were pouring their souls out for a Johnson re-hire.
Along with the Super Bowl rings, Johnson was the AP NFL Coach of the Year in 1990. He holds an 80-64 win-loss record and a postseason record of 9-4.
This is a very well-deserved honor.
