Kylian Mbappé is currently in the final year of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. He has repeatedly rejected offers to renew his contract, indicating that he’s on his way out of the French capital. For at least two years, Mbappé has been linked with a possible move to Real Madrid. Not long after, reports surfaced that Liverpool has an interest in Mbappé.
On Tuesday, Real Madrid made an offer of €160 million to Paris Saint-Germain, which was immediately rejected. The transfer window closes on the 31st of this month. Mbappé turned down six different renewal offers from Les Parisiens. The 22-year-old French forward has made it clear that he wants to move on. He is ready to take his career to the next level.

Real Madrid can pick up Mbappé for free next summer once his deal expires and he’s officially a free agent. That would certainly be great for Los Blancos. However, it would not look good for Paris Saint-Germain as they won’t allow themselves to lose Mbappé without profiting from it. No doubt, it’s a challenging situation for both Los Blancos and Les Parisiens. Both clubs have less than a week now to negotiate and come to terms on a deal. On Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain confirmed that Mbappé wants to leave Paris for Madrid.

For Real Madrid, failing to acquire Mbappé before the deadline poses a significant risk. With Mbappé a free agent next summer, there could be a major war between Real Madrid and Liverpool over the World Cup winner. In addition, several more clubs could join in on the war, which only intensified Los Blancos’s situation. Real Madrid is going to have to pull off a miracle within the next few days if they’re to safely secure the services of Mbappé. At this point, either way, Mbappé is likely on his way out whether it’s by next week or next summer.
Mbappé is preparing to return to international duty. Next week, the French National Soccer Team will resume its 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign. After a horrible performance at Euro 2020, Mbappé hopes to make an impact for France in its three upcoming World Cup qualifying matches.
