The time has come for Kyrie Irving and company to begin preparing for playoffs.
With that preparation comes resting some regular season games, which Irving previously mentioned he would be doing.
“I’m definitely taking some games off before the playoffs,” Irving said. “Makes no sense, the emphasis on these regular games, when you’re gearing up for some battles coming in the playoffs.”
Now, with the Celtics traveling to Quicken Loans Arena, the six-time All-Star will rest for Boston’s final game against the Cavaliers this season.
Kyrie Irving (load management) will not play tomorrow night against the Cavaliers. Jayson Tatum (lower back contusion) and Al Horford (left knee soreness) are both questionable. Robert Williams (lower back contusion) is doubtful.

Boston has had no trouble defeating Cleveland this season, but are heading into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Two of the three games between these squads were also missing Irving’s presence, where the Celtics have come out on top every time.
They will try and complete the season sweep tomorrow, with tipoff set for 7 p.m.
