Real Madrid is on a mission to avoid suffering elimination in the Round of 16 for the third straight season. They’re looking to reestablish themselves are respectable contenders for the title. Los Blancos have not been the same since winning their third straight title in 2018. To put it mildly, Real Madrid hasn’t been the same since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

What Does Real Madrid Have To Do?
Los Blancos currently hold a 1-0 aggregate lead. With the second leg taking place on home soil, they need to play harder and more effectively to secure a spot in the final eight. In other words, Real Madrid needs to be 100 percent both mentally and physically.
Scoring goals is obviously the most effective way for Los Blancos. However, they need to find ways to avoid conceding goals. In addition, Real Madrid needs to solid and effective on the attack and on defense. Atalanta can take advantage of the away goals rule if they manage to score. Therefore, in Real Madrid’s case, they need to score goals and find a way to keep a clean sheet. Furthermore, it’s about keeping the game in their favor.
La Liga Progress:
Real Madrid is sitting in second place in the standings of La Liga. They trail first-place Atletico Madrid by six points and are fighting back and forth with Barcelona to maintain the second place position. Los Blancos are fighting hard to find a way to secure another La Liga title.
