Heller’s Week 17 Picks

Coming off of a week where I went 7-9, I am looking to redeem myself and go 16-0 to end the regular season on a high note.

20 teams will be packing up their lockers on Monday morning. Here’s a prediction on whether they’ll do so on a winning note or a losing note.

Jets 24, Bills 27

The Bills will avoid the upset and head to wild card weekend on the heels of a win.

Browns 27, Bengals 10

The Browns win this one easily, but will it be enough for head coach Freddie Kitchens to keep his job? This may also be the last time we see Odell Beckham, Jr. in a Browns uniform.

Packers 34, Lions 20

The Packers will pull ahead as the Lions will be playing from behind all day, coming up short.

Chargers 17, Chiefs 34

The Chiefs prepare for the playoffs with a convincing victory. Could this be the last time we see Philip Rivers in a Chargers uniform?

Bears 17, Vikings 24

Kirk Cousins and co. pull out a hard-fought victory in this defensive struggle.

Dolphins 17, Patriots 27

I was tempted to go with Fitzmagic and the upset here, but in Foxborough, they would need more than magic to win.

Falcons 34, Buccaneers 31

This will be a high scoring meaningless game. I’m just curious about how many more interceptions Jameis Winston will throw to finish the season.

Saints 41, Panthers 13

The Saints will jump out to a huge lead as Drew Brees and the rest of the starters will be watching the game from the bench come the second half.

Titans 34, Texans 17

With everything riding on this victory, Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry will come up big. The defense will play perhaps their greatest game of the season. Tennessee will jump out to a lead and the Texans will start pulling their starters to avoid any unnecessary injuries heading into the playoffs.

Colts 34, Jaguars 21

This AFC South pride game will be back and forth for a while before the Colts seal the win.

Upset: Redskins 34, Cowboys 31

The Redskins will go into Dallas and pull off the upset. If this holds true, Jason Garrett will be out of a job by Monday morning.

Raiders 26, Broncos 21

The Raiders will pull this one out but barely miss the playoffs, making their Las Vegas debut that much closer.

Cardinals 24, Rams 17

Kyler Murray will close out his rookie season with a victory.

Eagles 34, Giants 30

With the Eagles scoreboard watching during the game, they will keep the pedal to the metal. Unless the Redskins blow out the Cowboys, the Philly starters will play the home game. Either way, they should pull out a win.

Steelers 17, Ravens 31

Robert Griffin III will end the Steelers’ playoff hopes in his best Lamar Jackson impression.

49ers 20, Seahawks 27

Closing the season at home for the Seahawks against the Cinderella team, who they’ve already beaten, will have this crowd pumped up enough. Add to that the return of Marshawn Lynch, and it would be too much for any team to go to Seattle and win this game.
