Is this the beginning of the end?

After the team drafted Jordan Love, speculation began if quarterback Aaron Rodgers‘ time as Packers starting quarterback was approaching the end.

Rodgers used that chip on his shoulder tenfold. Rodgers led the Packers to a 13-3 regular-season record and home-field advantage in the NFC. Green Bay fell just one win shy of playing in the Super Bowl, after losing to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Conference Round. He threw for 4,299 yards and 48 touchdowns, with just five interceptions. 18 of those touchdowns were to Davante Adams. 11 more of those touchdowns were caught by third-year tight end Robert Tonyan, who had just a pair of touchdowns total through his first two seasons. Rodgers walked away with his third NFL Most Valuable Player Award, staving off the youngster Love. He’ll have to sit and watch for just a little bit longer.

Can Aaron Jones move further up the ranks among league running backs?

Jones followed up his first 1,000-yard rushing season by rushing for a career-high 1,104 yards. He added another 355 yards receiving and scored a combined 11 touchdowns. After proving 2019 wasn’t a fluke and his name being among the top players in the league at his position, the back earned himself a new four-year, $48 million contract, from the Packers, to keep him from going elsewhere.

What about the defense?

Green Bay’s defense was led by the Smith brothers Preston and Za’Darius. The duo combined for 16.5 sacks, with Za’Darius accounting for 12.5 on his way to being selected to his first Pro Bowl. Cornerback Jaire Alexander also made his first Pro Bowl team for the secondary.
