The Boston Celtics are set to play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Oct. 6 for their fourth and final preseason outing, but get ready to see one more taste of last year’s postseason roster.
Boston will try and avoid going 1-4 in the preseason without Gordon Hayward, who missed practice today and will be sidelined on Saturday with lower back soreness.
Gordon Hayward didn’t practice today because of lower back soreness. Stevens said his leg’s fine, but the All-Star has dealt with other soreness early in his comeback. He won’t play Saturday against Cleveland either.

Starting point guard Kyrie Irving is also out for the Celtics, dealing with some rib pain and won’t make the trip to Cleveland.
Luckily, neither of these injuries are serious, and both All-Stars should be 100 percent ready to go come opening night on Oct. 16.
