Hayden Hurst to the Falcons!

Obviously, Austin Hooper will not be back in 2020. The Falcons needed help at tight end, so they went out and got the second-best tight end in Baltimore, Hayden Hurst. The Falcons sent a 2020 2nd-round pick and a 2020 fifth-round pick (sent to Jacksonville for Calais Campbell) for Hurst and a 2020 4th-rounder.

I love this trade for Baltimore. They do not need Hurst even a little bit. They have Mark Andrews and Nick Boyle. It’s literally like Baltimore is playing Madden. They are making their team better by getting better draft capital by getting rid of someone who wasn’t completely useful to them. A second-round pick can make a huge impact on this team and I think it should be used on a wide receiver. Let’s beef up this offense even more. This is a fantastic trade for the Ravens.

This seems like an overpay for the Falcons. I don’t believe that tight ends are extremely valuable, so this trade is a head-scratcher. Hurst is a decent player, but he isn’t worth two draft picks. All this being said, BUY HURST in fantasy football. If the Falcons can hone in on his skills more, he can develop like Austin Hooper.

I’m going to stay mum on who won this trade because I think Hurst has a lot of untapped potential. From the surface, I’d give the win to Baltimore just because they don’t need Hurst and got a good draft pick back. I’d also like to point out that the Falcons paid almost as much for Hurst as the Cardinals had to pay for DeAndre Hopkins. Fire Bill O’Brien!
