Has Manchester City Secured The Premier League Title?

Is Manchester City going to win the Premier League?

Manchester City is on an absolute tear, having not lost a game since November 21, 2020. They currently top the English Premier League table and are seven points clear of second place Manchester United.

It seems as though Liverpool may officially be out of the race. The defending Premier League champions have been riddled with injuries and are on a three-game losing streak. The F.C. have have lost five of their last eight games and are 13 points behind Manchester City.

Has Manchester City Secured The Title For Good?

Liverpool is unlikely to recover and jump back into the race, especially since Manchester City shows no signs of slowing down. The absence of Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Agüero didn’t seem to have any effect on them. The club is coming off back-to-back dominating wins against Liverpool and Tottenham.

Manchester United continues to come up short and their shortcomings allow Man City to remain farther ahead. Back-to-back draws for the Red Devils are holding them back and Manchester City is taking advantage. With Manchester United’s struggles, they have very little to no chance of catching up.

Leicester City is currently in a tie with United with 46 points each in the Premier League table. The Foxes are coming off a brilliant 3-1 win at home against Liverpool. Leicester City may have a chance to catch up if Manchester City begins to falter. Like Man U, Leicester City has little chance of gaining ground.

At this point, it is safe to say that this year’s English Premier League champions will be Manchester City. They’ve been playing very well and it doesn’t look like they can be stopped. Furthermore, by February 21st, Manchester City could very well be 13 points ahead of whichever club is sitting in second place.
