Guerschon Yabusele Recalled From G- League

The Boston Celtics recalled Guerschon Yabusele  from their NBA G-League affiliate the Maine Red Claws after being assigned there on Nov. 28.

The French native had an impressive performance in his sole outing, as he tallied 27 points, six rebounds, and four assists while shooting 50 percent from the field.

Hopefully, this will mean he will start to be given more minutes for the Celtics.

Thus far, Yabusele has only seen a measly 32 total minutes of NBA action over seven appearances. The 21-year-old played in China last year,  and put up 20.8 points and 9.4 boards per game while averaging 30.3 minutes.

Yabusele is the owner of an impressive 7-foot wingspan, and weighs in at 260 lbs. Should the C’s be able to help him develop and find a place for a man like that, he could find himself being an extremely valuable and unique piece of Brad Stevens and the Celtics.

Bench scoring has been Boston’s Achilles heel so far, which often times results in large deficits that can sometimes prove too much to overcome. With any luck, Yabusele will obtain more playing time and help bring banner 18 to Boston.
