Welcome back to the second round of my mock! A lot of major needs were addressed in this round as well as some talent falling to the third round! Let’s do it!

Before reading, make sure you check out the first round here!

33) Cincinnati Bengals – C.J. Henderson, CB, Florida

Cornerback is not the biggest need for the Bengals here, but this is a “best player available” pick. I’m not very high on Henderson, but I’m surprised that he fell to my second round. Do I think it could happen? Absolutely, and the Bengals better take advantage.

34) Indianapolis Colts – Jacob Eason, QB, Washington

They couldn’t make a move to trade up in the first to get one of the top four guys, so the Colts will be stuck with Eason. He is a great quarterback with tremendous arm strength, but his touch is lacking. I could see him sitting for a year to get experience but I’m sure Colts’ fans don’t love the sound of that.

35) Detroit Lions – Cameron Dantzler, CB, Mississippi State

Dantzler was one of a small group of people who have been able to keep Jerry Jeudy in check when covering him. I expect him to have a great combine and jump in as a starter right away for the Lions if Darius Slay leaves.

36) New York Giants – Lucas Niang, OT, TCU

Niang’s injury concerns are almost gone. The Giants have one of the worst offensive tackle groups in football, and I know for a fact that Niang would start over Mike Remmers immediately.

37) Los Angeles Chargers – Lloyd Cushenberry III, IOL, LSU

The guard position for the Chargers is a bit of a question mark right now. Cushenberry has risen up draft boards lately and I think he would be a fantastic value pick for the Chargers. Many people are even considering him a first-rounder.

38) New York Giants (via Panthers) – Noah Igbinoghene, CB, Auburn

The Giants need some cornerback help and Igbinoghene is a real burner who would probably start over Corey Ballentine. I’m confident in Deandre Baker and Grant Haley, but their secondary was still incredibly weak last year, and now it’s even weaker with the departure of Janoris Jenkins. Not that it matters for him as a prospect, but I’m interested in seeing Noah’s 40-yard dash time.

40) Arizona Cardinals – Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State

Aiyuk stays in state as the Cardinals pick him up to make him their third receiver. Larry Fitzgerald does not have much time left and Damiere Byrd nor Andy Isabella don’t scream “starting wideout to me” (although I do see potential in Isabella). Aiyuk is incredibly explosive and would give Kyler Murray another target who can stretch the field.

41) Cleveland Browns – Kyle Dugger, SAF, Lenoir-Rhyme

Dugger has taken draft analysts by storm lately! I know that a couple teams want him to work out as a linebacker at the combine at well, but Dugger is a natural safety. The Browns could use an upgrade and it would be a mistake to pass on Dugger.

42) Jacksonville Jaguars – Ashtyn Davis, SAF, California

I have scouted Davis more than any other player in this draft thus far. I love him as a prospect. His ball skills are incredible and the man is a hard-hitter. A lot of Jaguars fans might not know much about Davis or love the pick, but from someone who knows so much about him, this is a guy that you want on your squad.

43) Chicago Bears – Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama

I don’t expect a great combine from Diggs, but I love his length and ball skills. He’s pretty fast for his size and would be great playing across from Kyle Fuller

44) Indianapolis Colts – Marlon Davidson, DL, Auburn

Davidson is another guy that I have scouted extensively. I’m not sure if he should line up as a defensive end, a 3-tech, or a defensive tackle. He’s not the fastest guy but he has a good bull-rush and loads of potential. I’m confident that he would start right away for the Colts barring any free agency signings.

45) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Zack Baun, EDGE, Wisconsin

William Gholston’s time is up as a starter. Baun has been getting a lot of buzz lately and would make the Buccaneers front-seven one of the scariest in football.

46) Denver Broncos – Damon Arnette, CB, Ohio State

If Chris Harris Jr. leaves, which looks likely, the Broncos will not have much left at the cornerback position. Arnette plays with such heart and tenacity; his motor is incredible. He played with a broken wrist last year which just shows how much he wants to be out there. He did very well for himself as well. If he didn’t have the injury hampering him, he would have had plenty of opportunities for some interceptions.

47) Atlanta Falcons – J.K. Dobbins, RB, Ohio State

Devonta Freeman’s time in Atlanta may be up and Brian Hill looked absolutely miserable when filling in last year. If running back was a more valuable position, Dobbins would undoubtedly be a first-round pick.

48) New York Jets – Nick Harris, IOL, Washington

Ryan Kalil’s contract is up which may be music to many fans’ ears. Harris is so incredibly underrated and would really solidify this line especially if the Jets can find a way to add one more guard in free agency. Sam Darnold needs to be protected so we can see what he can really do.

49) Pittsburgh Steelers – Bradlee Anae, EDGE, Utah

With Bud Dupree’s contract up, the Steelers may choose to switch back to a 4-3 defense. Anae had 13 sacks last year with Utah and I could potentially see him making the move to pass-rushing outside linebacker if the Steelers want to maintain their 3-4. Anae is so underrated and so athletic. This is the best (defensive) player available pick for Pittsburgh.

50) Chicago Bears – Matt Hennessy, IOL, Temple

Rashaad Coward did not do a good job last year. Matt Hennessy would make this offensive line complete and give Mitch Trubisky (LOL) and David Montgomery some more protection.

51) Dallas Cowboys – Bryce Hall, CB, Virginia

Byron Jones and Anthony Brown are pending free agents so this move makes even more sense. The Cowboys could really fix their secondary in this draft with Grant Delpit and Hall. The offense is solid, and this defense could bring them to a playoff spot next year.

52) Los Angeles Rams – Prince Tega Wanogho, OT, Auburn

I’m not sure if I would rather have Wanogho move inside and start immediately or sit for a year behind Andrew Whitworth. The Rams’ line was not great this year and I think Wanogho has future Pro-Bowl potential.

53) Philadelphia Eagles – Jaylon Johnson, CB, Utah

I’ve seen Johnson get some first-round grades but he fell just outside of that for me. I love him as a prospect and I think he has room to grow, I just don’t know how high his ceiling is. That being said, he is an immediate upgrade over who the Eagles currently have, especially since none of them are ever healthy.

54) Buffalo Bills – Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson

I did not purposely make Higgins fall this far, I am just not a fan. He projects like Mike Williams from the Chargers which screams bust to me, but in the second round, I like the value. The Bills could use a big body for Josh Allen to throw it up to, and Higgins is just that.

55) Atlanta Falcons – A.J. Terrell, CB, Clemson

After Terrell got torched in the National Championship Game, everybody seems to hate him now, but he is still a good cornerback. I think that he has the potential to be great, but I would never line him up against a guy like Tyreek Hill or Deebo Samuel. He’s just not fast enough. But for the value, Terrell would be a great fit here and potentially start out of the gate.

56) Miami Dolphins – Josh Uche, EDGE, Michigan

Uche’s intangibles and athleticism are off the charts! The Dolphins need almost everything on defense and having a guy like Uche rush the passer is a very good start. Hopefully, he’s still on the board for Miami here, but he may not fall this far.

57) Houston Texans – Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin

Despite how well Carlos Hyde performed last year, he is certainly aging. He and Lamar Miller are also pending free agents, leaving the door wide open for Taylor to come in and take the league by storm!

58) Minnesota Vikings – Troy Pride Jr., CB, Notre Dame

Talk about a pure speed demon. The Vikings need all the cornerback help they can get, especially with Xavier Rhodes being a potential cap casualty. Their secondary was awful last year. Pride is a bit of a developmental pick so I don’t know that he comes in and plays every down right away, but if developed properly, he has All-Pro potential.

59) Seattle Seahawks – KJ Hamler, WR, Penn State

Hamler has recently risen up my board and is still rising. It may be unrealistic for him to be here at this point, but with the depth in this class, I can see him falling. Hamler, Tyler Lockett, and D.K. Metcalf would be a nasty young trio for Russell Wilson to throw to.

60) Baltimore Ravens – Terrell Lewis, EDGE, Alabama

Matt Judon is most likely not returning to Baltimore, so they will need a replacement. Lewis is solid, but I do not know if he will start immediately. Last year was his first full year at Alabama and frankly, I wasn’t incredibly impressed with his tape. However, I do think he will go late-second round or early-third round and the Ravens could use someone like him.

61) Tennesee Titans – Julian Okwara, EDGE, Notre Dame

Okwara missed a bit of time this year, but in his past two seasons at Notre Dame, he has 13 sacks. The Titans didn’t bring enough pressure last year and adding Okwara to the mix could be one component involved in fixing that.

62) Green Bay Packers – Cole Kmet, TE, Notre Dame

Everybody loves the idea of Kmet to the Patriots, but the Packers need someone like him desperately! Aaron Rodgers needs a big target outside of Davante Adams to get the ball to. Kmet is my favorite tight end in this class and would make the Packers’ offense scary.

63) Kansas City Chiefs – Antoine Winfield, SAF, Minnesota

Winfield may not last this long, but if he does, the Chiefs would be mistaken not to take him. There’s no position on their defense that needs more help than safety right now. Who knows? He may even start out of the gate depending on how free agency goes.

64) Seattle Seahawks – Jonah Jackson, IOL, Ohio State

The Seahawks could solve their atrocious offensive line problem with a good free agency and draft. Jackson had a very strong season as a grad-transfer from Rutgers and put his name on the map. I see no reason why he doesn’t deserve a second-round pick as I think the sky is the limit for him.
