Week 4 of the NFL season wrapped up on Monday, so it is time for the Team of the Week to be crowned. This week, an underrated pick emerged in the form of the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys were able to bounce back after starting quarterback Dak Prescott went down with an injury in Week 1 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In Prescott’s place, Cooper Rush came in and has played better than some expected.
Here are the key points that contributed to their win over the Washington Commanders.

Cooper Rush’s Play
Rush has played well since he’s stepped in this season. In Sunday’s win against the Commanders, he went 15-for-27 with 223 yards and threw two touchdowns. He was also second in rushing, adding 27 yards on the ground.
Rush’s top receiver on Sunday was CeeDee Lamb, who had six receptions for 97 yards and one touchdown. Micheal Gallup caught the other touchdown thrown by Cooper Rush. Gallup had two catches for 24 yards in his first game back from a torn ACL.
Cowboys’ Defensive Game
One of the main reasons Dallas’ defense is so highly thought of is because of one Micah Parsons. He had fou tackles versus the Commanders. The Cowboys’ defense was able to pick off Carson Wentz twice. Daron Bland made one of those interceptions while Trevon Diggs notched the other.
Cowboys’ Kicking Game
Dallas had a great game when it came to kicking as Brett Maher went 4-for-4 and gave the Cowboys 13 points. Punter Bryan Anger totaled six punts for 255 yards, including two kicks pinned inside the 20-yard line.
Schedule Ahead
The Cowboys face the Los Angeles Rams this upcoming week. It will not be a cakewalk by any stretch, but with this fiery offense, defense, and special teams, the Cowboys are up to the task.
