The first round of the playoffs has concluded. The Texans, Chiefs, Lions, Packers, Bills, and Buccaneers are moving on following an exciting three days of football action.
This week’s top team is the Green Bay Packers. The Packers are the first team in NFL history that the seventh seed beat the second seed (since the playoffs were expanded in 2020).
Love is Spreading
In this game alone, Jordan Love threw three touchdowns to three different receivers (Romeo Doubs, Luke Musgrave, and Dontayvion Wicks). He tallied 272 yards and also had a nearly perfect passer rating of 157.2. The youth movement is in full swing as both Love and Texans rookie C.J. Stroud dominated the conversation this past weekend.
Aaron Jones is Green Bay
Aaron Jones represents the Green Bay franchise. He is one of the most experienced players on one of the youngest teams in the NFL. When Jones is involved in the run game, the Packers do well and win. He has been a crucial part of their playoff push. In this game versus a respected run defense, he had 21 carries, 118 yards, and three rushing touchdowns.
Throughout the season, Jones has put the Green and Yellow squad on his back and carried them into the playoffs despite a barrage of injuries on offense.
Script Writers are Serving a Five-Course Meal in NFL Playoffs
The Packers win games at AT&T Stadium. Since the stadium opened, the Packers are 6-0 there, including a Super Bowl win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
What did we learn this Super Wild Card Weekend? The NFL script-writers are still cooking this season. They have been serving a five-course meal from the offseason to the preseason to the regular season and now the playoffs.
So, onto the Divisional Round, we go.
