Free Betting Play of the Day – NBA Basketball (02/25)

Welcome to the fourth installment of Prime Time Sport Talk’s  “Free Betting Play of the Day.”

These bets aim to provide value and a deep insight on a specific betting play for that day to give you a competitive edge over prospective markets and sportsbooks.

All of our bets range from the NHL, NBA, NFL, MLB, and NCAA. Let us know what you think on and whether or not you’re “tailing.”

Category: Player Prop

Play & Odds: Jakob Poeltl OVER 13.5 points (-115)

Justification:

Jakob Poeltl’s point prop is set at 13.5 this afternoon when his Toronto Raptors (29-31) travel to Mo-town to battle the Detroit Pistons (15-45). Fresh off a 21-point performance that included 18 rebounds in Thursday’s win against the New Orleans Pelicans, I think Poeltl is once again in line for a big afternoon against the lowly Pistons.

Since coming over prior to the NBA trade deadline, Poeltl has been a welcome (back) addition to the Raptors. In four games played, Poeltl has averaged 16.6 points per game and 27 minutes per contest. Both his point production and minutes played are an increase in comparison to his time earlier in the season with the San Antonio Spurs. More importantly, Poeltl has been efficient and found his comfort zone during his second stint in Toronto. Talk about a seamless transition.

At -115 odds, I love the value you’re getting on one of the surprise lineup additions post-deadline for the Raptors. Ride with the OVER on this one, folks.
