Women, in general, have to work double and sometimes triple to get the same respect as men. However, things are changing in the sports industry.
This move as a franchise is quite impressive. It is a big deal to hire two female coaches and be the first NFL team to do so. The commencing of a great future for women in sports. The coaches are Maral Javadifar as the assistant strength and conditioning coach and Lori Locust as an assistant defensive line coach. What is the likelihood that this historic moment will happen again?
To gain this opportunity and have the organization believe in Javadifar and Locust is phenomenal, and they can truly make a difference. Both coaches have extremely impressive resumes and background. That goes to show that it has nothing to do with gender, but with knowledge and passion for the game. This is definitely an important moment that can pave the way for more women making history in sports.
