Week number 11 is upon us, meaning there are just six Sundays left in the 2020 regular season. One of the most intriguing weeks of the year as division races begin to take shape along with a push for the final playoff spots in both conferences; five games feature teams with six-plus victories. Finding success in week number 10, Daniel Jones completed 21 passes for 244 yards while adding a rushing score in the Giants victory while Jordan Reed caught two balls for 62 yards in his first game back from injury. Here to help with your league’s playoff races, let’s dive into this week’s picks.
Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings
Poised for a big week against one of the league’s worst defensive units, stream Cousins as a high-end QB2 this week. Ranked 32nd in the league in points per game, Mike Nolan’s group is averaging over 30 points given up per contest. Along with this, the Cowboys defense is allowing over 19 fantasy points per game on average against opposing signal-callers. Undermanned at the cornerback position with Jourdan Lewis and Anthony Brown struggling all season long, look for the elite tandem of Minnesota receivers to have their way on Sunday. Currently allowing opposing running backs to rush for over 150 yards per contest, look for Dallas to be keyed in on stopping Dalvin Cook on Sunday, opening up the field for Cousins to have his best game of the year.
Rex Burkhead, New England Patriots
Beginning to receive an expanded role in the Patriots offense in the absence of touches to longtime running back James White, a plus matchup against the Texans this week should earn Burkhead a look for an RB3/Flex spot on your team. Unable to slow down opposing rushers through ten weeks of the season, the Texans have allowed 205 fantasy points on the ground with over 1700 yards given up. A goldmine for opposing backs in PPR formats as well, Houston has given up over 30 points per game, ranking them 29th in the league. Strong against the pass with shutdown cornerback Bradley Roby leading the way, look for New England to utilize their backs both through the air and on the ground in this one against a weak interior of the Texans defense.
Nyheim Hines, Indianapolis Colts
A crowded backfield in Indianapolis with Jonathan Taylor, Jordan Wilkins, and Nyheim Hines all splitting carries, look for Hines to have another strong performance after leading the team with 12 rushing attempts a week ago. A primary passing option for quarterback Phillip Rivers out of the backfield, the Colts should have ample opportunity against a Green Bay defense, allowing yards in chunks to opposing backs through ten weeks. Giving up over six receptions per game on average, rushers have seen a 24 percent target share against the Packers this season. Allowing the most fantasy points in the league to the position group, running backs have found the end zone once out of every eighteen carries averaged against the team. With uncertainty surrounding who will be the featured option every week, start Nyheim as an RB3 with upside.
Marvin Jones, Detroit Lions
Fresh off an eight-catch performance against one of the NFL’s premier defenses in Washington, Jones is heating up as the home stretch of the season begins. With four scores in his last three games, the longtime Lions receiver should be in for another big week against the Panthers. Struggling against the pass this season, Matt Rhule’s team is averaging over 255 yards against through the air, with six wideouts seeing double-digit targets against them. In for a big target share this week with starting receivers Kenny Golladay and Danny Amendola both questionable heading into the matchup with injuries, look for him to be the focal point of the offense for Matthew Stafford. A sneaky solid option for your WR3 spot, look for Jones to finish inside the top 25 for pass catchers this week.
Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings
With fellow tight end Irv Smith Jr questionable heading into this one after being held out of last week’s game with an injury, Rudolph should be worth consideration for owners looking for an option at the tight end spot this week. Coming off a season-high five target performance in their victory over the Bears, he should once again be in for a high volume day against the Cowboys defense. Ranked as the third-worst defense against the tight end spot this season, the team has allowed the fifth-highest PPR points per game to the position. A quality option if Smith is forced to miss his second straight game on Sunday, stream the longtime Vikings tight end as a quality TE2.
