Antonio Gibson Over 16.5 Rushing Attempts (-105)

Gibson had only three games with over 16.5 rushing attempts last season, but he matched his career-high 20 attempts in Week 1. On those 20 rushing attempts, Gibson totaled 90 yards, averaging 4.5 per attempt. Meanwhile, the Giants gave up 146 yards on 25 rushing attempts last week to the Denver Broncos. Washington’s starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will miss tonight’s game with a hip injury. Replacing him under center will be Taylor Heinicke. The best way for Washington to win this game is by establishing the running game, allowing Heinicke to use the play-action pass to his advantage. Gibson should set a new career-high in rushing attempts tonight.

Sterling Shepard Over 4.5 Receptions (-155)

Last week Shepard was close to unstoppable. He pulled in seven receptions on nine targets for 113 yards and a touchdown. In his career, Shepard has averaged 4.9 receptions per game. Furthermore, Shepard had six or more receptions in 67 percent of his games last year. Shepard has been a productive wide receiver, but he has also dealt with injuries in his career. However, in seven career games against Washington, Shepard averages 4.7 receptions per game, finishing with over 4.5 in four of them. Last week, Washington had no answers for the Los Angeles Chargers wide receivers, giving up 24 receptions on 34 targets. Shepard should see enough targets tonight to hit the over by the start of the fourth quarter.

Logan Thomas to Score an Anytime Touchdown (+180)

Against the Chargers, Thomas scored the only touchdown of the game for Washington, catching an 11-yard pass from Heinicke in the third quarter. Last year, Thomas scored six touchdowns, including one against the Giants in Week 6. Meanwhile, the Giants had no answer for the Broncos’ tight ends last week. Noah Fant and Albert Okwuegbunam combined to catch nine of 11 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown. Until Curtis Samuel returns from injury or Dyami Brown steps up, Thomas will have a critical role in the offense as the second option behind Terry McLaurin. That said, expect Heinicke to look Thomas’ way often tonight, especially in the red zone.

Daniel Jones Over 20.5 Rushing yards (-115)

While Jones is not the same level of a runner as Lamar Jackson or Kyler Murray, he can make defenses pay for turning their backs on him. Last week, Jones had 27 rushing yards on six attempts. Furthermore, Jones rushed for over 20.5 rushing yards in half of his games last season and in 50 percent of his career contests. Moreover, Jones has averaged 30.8 rushing yards per game in four career games against Washington. Last season, Washington gave up the fifth-most rushing to quarterbacks, allowing 22.3 rushing yards per game. With Saquon Barkley still not 100 percent, expect the Giants to take advantage of Jones’ rushing ability with a few designed runs. Furthermore, it takes just one missed tackle for Jones to hit the over on this prop bet.

Terry McLaurin Over 5.5 Receptions (-105)

In Week 1, McLaurin caught all four of his targets. McLaurin has averaged five receptions per game for his career. However, McLaurin has played some of the best football in his career against the Giants. In three career games against the Giants, McLaurin averages seven receptions on 9.7 targets for 91.7 receiving yards. Last week, the Giants allowed the Broncos’ wide receivers to catch 14 of their 18 targets (78 percent). More importantly, the Giants allowed Jerry Jeudy to pull in six of his seven targets last week. Moreover, Jeudy only played 47 percent of snaps after leaving the game early with an ankle injury. If Jeudy pulled in six receptions last week, McLaurin should have no trouble doing the same this week.
