Tonight we have a matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders. While fans will have their eyes glued to the game, watching every play with the utmost attention, gamblers only care about making money. However, which bets will lead to cash in their pockets? Hunter Renfrow Over 6.5 Receptions (+115)
The former Clemson walk-on has become one of the more dependable wide receivers this season. Renfrow is seventh in the NFL with 99 receptions. Furthermore, he has averaged 6.2 receptions per game this season, easily a career-high. He has totaled at least six receptions in 62.5 percent of the games this season, including nine of the past 13 games. Meanwhile, the Chargers have given up an average of 11.6 receptions per game to wide receivers this season. They have surrendered at least 13 receptions to wide receivers in five of their past eight games. Darren Waller is questionable to play tonight with a knee injury. Even if he plays, he won’t be 100 percent healthy. Expect Derek Carr to look Renfrow’s way plenty in this contest.
Austin Ekeler to Score an Anytime Touchdown (-190)
Other than Jonathan Taylor, Ekeler has been arguably the best running back this season. Ekeler has scored 18 touchdowns in 15 games this season, a career-high. More impressively, he has 11 rushing touchdowns this season after totaling nine during the first four seasons of his career. Furthermore, Ekeler has a 7.1 percent touchdown rate this season, scoring a touchdown once per every 14.2 touches. Meanwhile, the Raiders have struggled to keep running backs out of the end zone this season. They have given up 15 rushing touchdowns to running backs this season, the fifth-most in the NFL. The Raiders have also given up six receiving touchdowns to running backs, the third-most in the NFL this season. Ekeler is more likely to score two touchdowns tonight than not score at all.
Derek Carr Under 270.5 Passing Yards (-115)
While he has averaged 288.6 passing yards per game this season, Carr has struggled lately. Carr has averaged 240.8 passing yards per game over the past five weeks, throwing for under 265 yards in every game. Furthermore, he has thrown for under 265 yards in seven of the past eight contests. Meanwhile, the Chargers have held quarterbacks to an average of 237.6 passing yards per game this season. They have held quarterbacks to under 255 passing yards in three of their past four games. Furthermore, the Chargers have held quarterbacks under 200 passing yards in 37.5 percent of the games this season, including two of the past six contests. In the Week 4 matchup, Carr had a season-low 196 passing yards against the Chargers. He will struggle throwing the ball tonight.
Mike Williams Under 4.5 Receptions (-155)
After starting the season on fire, Williams has cooled off lately. Over the first five games, Williams averaged 6.2 receptions per game, totaling at least seven in four of those games. By comparison, Williams has averaged only 3.6 receptions per game since Week 6, totaling five or more in just 30 percent of those contests. Furthermore, Williams finished with under 4.5 receptions in seven of the past 10 games. Meanwhile, the Raiders have held wide receivers to only 11.5 receptions per game this season, the seventh-fewest in the NFL. They have held wide receivers to nine or fewer receptions in four straight games. In the Week 4 matchup against the Raiders, Williams had a season-low one reception on four targets. He will struggle tonight and finish with under 4.5 receptions.
Josh Jacobs Over 60.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Despite dealing with a rib injury, Jacobs expects to play tonight. Jacobs has averaged 52.9 rushing yards per game this season. However, he has picked up his play since Kenyan Drake suffered a season-ending injury. Over the past three weeks, Jacobs has averaged 81.3 rushing yards per game, rushing for at least 63 yards in two straight games. Meanwhile, the Chargers have surrendered an average of 116.3 rushing yards per game to running backs this season, the third-most in the NFL. They have given up over 110 rushing yards to running backs in 68.8 percent of their games this season, including eight of the past 12 games. Expect the Raiders to take advantage of the poor Los Angeles run defense tonight and lean on the running game.
