Hopefully, you read my weekly prop bets article before today’s games kicked off, but if you didn’t, you have the chance to make some money tonight. In primetime, we have a matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots. Tonight’s game features two of the better running quarterbacks in the league in Lamar Jackson and Cam Newton. However, which prop bets should gamblers consider placing? Here are my five favorite prop bets for tonight’s game.

Cam Newton Under 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-235)
Yes, the price on this bet is very discouraging; however, it is all but a guarantee to hit. Newton has struggled with throwing the ball this season, completing more than 68 percent of his passes in only two games this season. He did that against two awful defenses in the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets. However, he faces a Ravens secondary that has given up zero passing touchdowns in three of their last five games. Furthermore, Newton hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass since Week 3 and has a total of two passing touchdowns this season.
Lamar Jackson Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+138)
While Jackson’s passing numbers have regressed from last season, he is still averaging over 1.5 passing touchdowns per game this season. Furthermore, he has thrown two or more touchdowns in half of his games this season, including three of his last five contests. Meanwhile, the Patriots’ pass defense isn’t playing at the same level it was last season. Last week, they gave up 262 passing yards and three touchdowns to Joe Flacco and the Jets. While Jackson won’t have one of the five touchdown games he had last season, he should be able to throw two touchdowns tonight.
Jakobi Meyers Over 3.5 Receptions (-152)
This prop is like taking candy from a baby. With Julian Edelman on injured reserve, Meyers has taken over as the Patriots’ number one wide receiver. In the two games without Edelman, Meyers has 18 receptions on 24 targets for 227 yards. The Ravens have one of the best secondaries in the league; however, they have given up 14 or more receptions to wide receivers in over half of their games this season. While Meyers has a tough matchup tonight, the Patriots have no other weapons at wide receiver. Unless Meyers gets hurt early in the game, this prop bet should hit well before halftime.
Mark Andrews Over 2.5 Receptions (-175)
Coming off a dominant 2019 season, Andrews has regressed this year, as he has only one game with more than five receptions. Yet, he has at least three receptions in two straight games, including five of his last six games. Meanwhile, the Patriots are giving up an average of 2.8 receptions per game to tight ends. However, they have faced several teams with no receiving tight end threat. When the Patriots have faced a team with a pro bowl caliber tight end, they have given up at least four receptions in each game. Expect Andrews to have his third straight game with three or more receptions tonight.
Cam Newton Under 195.5 Passing Yards (-112)
I know it seems like I’m picking on Cam, but the numbers back it up; he’s struggling to throw the ball. Newton has thrown for over 175 yards in only two games this season. Those games were against the Seahawks and Jets, two of the worst pass defenses in the league. In those games, Newton averaged 39.5 pass attempts per game. By comparison, Newton is averaging 22.4 pass attempts per game in his other five games this season. Meanwhile, the Ravens have held quarterbacks under 185 passing yards in two of their last four games. Until Cam proves he can crack 200 passing yards against a good defense, I will continue to bet the under on his passing yards each week.
