Daniel Jones Finishes as a Top-15 Quarterback

Last season, Jones was a fantasy disaster, averaging less than a touchdown and only 12.9 fantasy points per game. However, his supporting cast was one of the worst in the league before getting hurt. Despite the chance to draft Justin Fields, the Giants decided to give Jones another year as the starting quarterback. During his rookie season, Jones showed flashes of turning into a fantasy asset. That year, Jones averaged two passing touchdowns per start and 16.5 fantasy points per game. Furthermore, Jones can create fantasy points with his legs, averaging 3.3 fantasy points per game on the ground. With the additions of Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, and a healthy Saquon Barkley, Jones has the supporting cast to turn into a weekly streaming option or better this season.

Saquon Barkley Averages Over 21 Fantasy Points Per Game

Since his rookie season, where he finished as the overall RB1, Barkley has struggled with injuries. Over the past two seasons, Barkley has missed 17 of 32 games. However, when healthy, Barkley has overcome poor offensive line play. In 2019, Barkley averaged 20.2 fantasy points per game before suffering a high ankle sprain in Week 3. He then forced himself back before he was healthy. However, once he was fully healthy, Barkley finished the season on fire, averaging 31.6 fantasy points per game over the final three games. The additions of Golladay and Toney will keep defenses from going all out to stop Barkley. If he stays healthy, don’t be surprised if Barkley finishes the year as the overall RB1.

Kenny Golladay Finishes Outside the Top-24 Wide Receivers

While the addition of Golladay will help the Giants, fantasy owners need to temper expectations. In the five games he played last season, Golladay averaged 13.2 fantasy points per game, finishing as the WR35 on a point per game basis. In 2019, Golladay finished as the WR13 on a point per game basis. However, he had a 21.1 percent target share and a 16.9 percent touchdown rate despite catching only 65 passes. In 2018, Golladay finished as the WR25 on a point per game basis. Despite a limited threat to his target share and Matthew Stafford throwing to him, Golladay has only one top-24 finish on a points per game basis in his career. With all the weapons around him, don’t expect Golladay to be a weekly fantasy starter for your team.
